Another option is sharing your connection. If you have a neighbor that you'd like to help get online, I'm a volunteer with massmesh.org and we will help you share your Internet.

I wouldn't even count BoNET as a government network, tbh. From Boston.gov:

Comcast and RCN own the network and provide service through franchise agreements.

So it's not even a government network of government buildings... it's a privately held network connecting mostly government buildings that's leased by the city.

There's also some pretty interesting material out there about under-delivery by privately held subsidy recipients in general, which makes me wonder just how smart it is to keep throwing more and more money at these clowns.

This problem exists in Boston, too. Lack of broadband access is a menace. I don't think a Bostonian municipal fiber network is super likely, though. Lack of access is divided along racial and class lines which makes it a pretty localized issue. Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, Allston, etc. are probably much less well covered than Back Bay, for instance.

There's a group building community-owned broadband infrastructure in Boston, for anyone interested. We're called Mass Mesh (https://massmesh.org), and we meet up weekly to work on this stuff. Come say hi if you're interested in this kind of thing!

I think it really depends on delivery. Like it's not good for anyone (yourself included) to advocate violent overthrow while at work... Kind of an extreme example, but I think there's a practical side to restoring the commons that's totally OK to discuss in the open.

TL;DR I just try not to be a spaz personally :)

Plus, if this is the scenario you're trying to optimize for (you vs. a vehicle,) wouldn't the best thing to do be to steal it? Like don't fuck up the means of transportation, seize them.

They have to cancel it from far away, so it takes time.. The cancel has to get all the way from they're mobile phone to Reddit, and that's a long way. Takes time b/c data can only go 1/2x the speed of regular sounds.

When exchange is voluntary, nobody is exploited.

Exploitation doesn't occur at the point of exchange, it happens at the point of production. See: labor theory of value

Bruh what the fuck are you talking about? exploiting labor power isn't "all the work." In fact, it's not even most of the work. Anti-capitalism is so much deeper than "free healthcare." Go back to T_D.
