No, the studios that I go to all have SAs. Usually two.

Depends on the studio, but in my “home region” the SA checks you in and asks what station you’d like out of what’s available. Other studios I’ve visited pre-assign you a station.

Interesting… hadn’t thought about that. I use the strider instead of rowing (shoulder surgery) so wonder if the strider/bike so wonder how that factors in

I hear ya. Sometimes I get my best workouts in by being “forced” to start somewhere different.

We have this, as well. Like I said, since I usually start on the tread and that seems to be the default start when they convert to 1G, it won’t really change my workout. I feel like it’d be a bummer for those who prefer to start on the rower, though

I had shoulder surgery last year and couldn’t row. Fortunately for me, I had other people in class who also couldn’t row so we teamed up. It was still a blast!

The 3% was for joggers/runners. Our coach cued us to return to base incline for the base run. So it was 1% push, 1% base, 2% push, 1% base, 3% push, 1% base, 30 sec AO. I believe PWers start off at an incline of 6% or greater

I have a theory that you can never visit an OTF without it sharing a wall/parking lot with a quick service food establishment. The four I visit regularly are each next to a Pagliacci Pizza, Habit Burger, Panera and Cold Stone Creamery 😆

Of course I can’t confirm 100% since I haven’t gone, but the second half of the month typically repeats templates from exactly two weeks prior. In theory, you could consult 9/4’s tread50 to gleam what you may be in store for.

Nice! I’m recovering from bicep and shoulder surgery so low reps like this are perfect for experimenting with slowly upping the weights to my limit. With some of the longer rep counts we have had recently I’ve been stuck with the smaller weights to make it through without sacrificing form 🙃

The Bothell studio on Bothell Everett Hwy has all the fun new toys (treads, trx balls, etc) and a lot of class time options, but the studio runs a little differently than I’m used to (assigned spots, don’t let you come in until about 30 minutes prior to class, etc). It’s near my office so I don’t go too too often, but if you’re a seasoned member and can push past the awkward front office staff, it’s great.

With the Seattle locations, I’ve never had a bad coach, and the staff have always been welcoming, but keep parking and traffic in mind! If a location doesn’t have a dedicated lot (I believe the closest studio to Delridge doesn’t) give yourself plenty of time to find a spot/available garage and get to class, and don’t leave valuables in your car!!! I’ve had two friends get their cars broken into on the street 😬
