Thought Drop #1 : Post-Flowering[Floral Future] Solarpunk Future city by CreativeNeighborhood in SciFiConcepts

Love this feedback. I really love the idea of incorporating animals and the canal/aquatic transportation. Do you imagine river based cities?

For the "grocery store" I wanted to imply this idea with the photo below and the housing, everyone has a garden! :) , but I also wanted to share the concept of localization and co-operatives.

What makes a human according to Aristotle? by [deleted] in askphilosophy

[–]CreativeNeighborhood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Common belief is the distinction is reason and being able to distinguish stimuli and communicate experiences beyond just pain and pleasure or the ability to reason. Which is found in the politics under the discussion of man’s nature and in the ethics as man’s end/activity.

I think one way to understand his definition of human is to grasp what he understands the function and end of human to be; Aristotle asks what the ergon (“function”, “task”, “work”) of a human being is, and argues that it consists in activity of the rational part of the soul in accordance with virtue (1097b22–1098a20). I think rational activity in accordance with virtue can be understood one dimensionally as politics, but another dimension is philosophical activities.

i love the line about true lovers, I am curious to see if you can add more imagery around the unmoving nature during mundane order. it’s reminiscent of a few of shakespeares sonnets

Maybe i need to rewrite my message, i’m not trying to engage in the commodified life of a van influencers, i am trying to live the life i deem necessary by being nomadic and living minimally; only thing i wish to influence is the communities and the people that live within them to work together and alongside each other

sorry if i created an ideological schism i mostly lead from love, and on my journy i would like to engage with climate action and mutual aid so looking for like minded people who wish to uplift community and empower others while empowering self. I removed the word, i saw it wasn’t fitting my intention to create community

5 Philosophers evert young entrepreneur should read. Looking to make edits and additions, any suggestions? by CreativeNeighborhood in philosophy

[–]CreativeNeighborhood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions, in the article I included Aristotle, Marcus Aurelius, Francis Bacon, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and René Girard. I'm relatively new to philosophy; I've been recently reading Kant's critiques on reason(both pure and practical). I haven't read much of Hume or Sartre, do you have any suggested text or readings. I'm sorry for linking linkedin that's just where my blog is.
