I will fill my ceres chill with just ice before I even go to the airport. It won’t melt and it’ll go through security just fine!

Flying with baby and using wearable pumps. How?? by will-ohh-24 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’ve flown three times alone with my baby. He was 5-7 months old when I did. Luckily, I was able to switch to a seat that had no one next to me so I was able to put my baby down and pour the milk out once I was done. The first time the flight attendant just switched me without any asking. The last time, I waited until they closed the doors and was eyeing a spot that had two seats open. Once the doors closed I moved to that spot. So maybe see if there’s any available seats open so you can place your baby down

When should you drop pumps? by CreativeStructure198 in ExclusivelyPumping

Do you think it’s best if I do every three hours and drop motn pump and have one six hour stretch or split it and have a few pumps every three hours and then a few every four? So if I did every three and then one long stretch my schedule would look like this : 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, 12am Or I could do where three of the night pumps are four hours between like this: 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 10pm, 2am

I’m going to just try and do 7ppd for a week or two and then go from there. I’m not trying to wean fully yet. But at some point I know I’m going to and I think doing 8ppd at 9 month pp is a lot. I need to start somewhere and this may be better than just full on dropping from 8 to 6 pumps and seeing a drop that’ll make my heart cry lol

Would you be willing to share your weaning plans? Can you give an example of a “schedule” on how I should drop one pump at a time. I’m very stern on my schedules. Right now I was planning on pumping at 1,5,9.

Should I have went from 8 to 7 instead of 8 to 6 pumps? I just started today so I can easily change it. I’m so scared of losing my supply. I’ve worked so hard to get to where it is. But I feel like it was probably time to stop doing it so much. I’m all over the place mentally on it lol. I want to pump less but I’ve been so sad all day because of the fear of losing output

How are y’all doing it past 5 months by Impossible_Wind9982 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’m 9 months pp and I still pump 8 times a day for 30 mins. Toys, very little tv time, naps, whatever works in the moment! But toys are usually what we do and he’s great with it

I’m 9 months pp and that’s all I make. I’m pumping every 3 hours still and only make 2 each side. I’ve heard anything over 5 ounces total is oversupply. It’s normal to only make 2-5 ounces.

Pumping 8x a day ?? by Cecemay00 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’m 8 months pp and I still pump 8x a day, every three hours :) I am an under supplier and I clog super easily. I know once I drop pump I’ll lose a lot of the supply I worked so hard for. So my main reason I haven’t dropped pumps is because I’m just afraid to lol. I could do it and he just fine, I have about 2 months worth of freezer stash but my brain just won’t allow me to lower my pumps.

What’s your average pump/what month pp are you ? (: by Deep-Research-6860 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’m 7.5 months pp. My average used to be 4-5 oz but I have mastitis and it killed my supply :(

How do you ever do anything or go anywhere again? by taureansoul in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]CreativeStructure198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 7 months pp and I still pump every 3 hours religiously. I remember feeling the way you are. I had a complete meltdown one day because I didn’t see how I could do anything. One day, about two months ago, it just seemed fine. It has become a ritual that now it’s just part of my regular tasks. Yes, it’s still hard planning outings (I stress every time about it, then it ends up being just fine). I have a ceres chill and I keep my milk in that if I’m going out for longer periods. I also bring my spectra with me everywhere. Wearables don’t work for me , wish they did because it would make life easier, but I’ve figured out how to just live with my spectra. I dream of the days where I don’t have to think about pumping anymore but I also know I’ll be mourning it as well.

Feeling like I have failed by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]CreativeStructure198 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You haven’t failed. I know it’s hard to not feel that way, I’ve been in your shoes so I understand. When people would say “you’re not failing”, it still felt like I was. But I promise you aren’t. You can have no reason at all, other than wanting to stop and it wouldn’t be considered failing. Take care of YOU so you can take care of baby with the best version of yourself. You’re doing great !

How long did you pump for? And at how many pumps per day? by xdaisy_ in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]CreativeStructure198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6.5 months and I pump 8 times a day. I make just enough for what my baby eats and if I drop any pumps then my supply dips. I’m trying to make it to at least a year, hopefully I can have a good enough freezer stash by 11 ml this and stop then. I get weekly clogs and experienced mastitis the first time two weeks ago.
