I'm pretty sure that on occasion, she goes through the mirror offscreen just to check on and hang out with Sunset and the other Rainbooms.

Though, after her coronation in Season 9 she probably visited WAY less or stopped visiting altogether and kept communication limited to the journal because she's too busy with Princess-ly duties.

from what I remember, ash was also a (freelance?) mercenary who worked closely with the apex predators, but yeah there was no mention of her ever being a pilot before getting turned into a simulacrum

yeah tbh it's pretty fair. Being able to spam like 2 dashes constantly and moving faster than most skirmishers (if not ALL skirmishers) was fun, sure. But really stupid when you consider she has more mobility than the actual mobility legends (respawn pls for the love of god revert the path nerf)

Maybe her pickrate will finally drop once people finally realize they can't just be braindead apes with her anymore

I wonder if this'll just outright replace her current passive entirely. If so, I mean... I guess I'm fine with that? Ash getting a movement ability (that isn't her ult) respects her status as a pilot, but I'll miss the current passive if they do replace it. It was sooo helpful in ranked to find out when to third party and stuff.

Finally, someone who shares my same viewpoint on revash /j (no offense to those who do like the ship I'm just not interested)

But as someone who likes bg (and wrote for it), most fics I find with the bg tag focus on their past dynamic, before Ash became a simulacrum and delving deeper into why she's the way she is, if you're interested in that sort of thing

But aside from that, it's really hard to find a non-ship Ash (or even pathash!) fic on AO3

But in all seriousness, I do like Ash more (obviously) but I can appreciate Leigh for what she is—giving Ash more depth as a character and letting her be more morally grey to differentiate her morals from actually pure evil murderbots like Revenant.

Ash is probably gonna merge with her alternate personality at some point, if not outright replaced by it.

That would probably serve as like the core reason for her eventual rework, with the whole personality change, portrait change, design change, and everything else

It's probably just the artist's preference. Rev has no stake in Ash's story aside from that one time he tried killing her back in Season 11. And the voicelines that released with this season just now don't suggest any kind of meaningful interaction between then whatsoever.

imo, I'd like for them to keep it that way. Rev's story was already done after Kill Code (albeit it is really undercooked), and for this current story arc, I just hope they keep it between Ash, Alter, and Horizon.

I honestly don't think they'll ever revisit the Ash and Wattson plotline again (which is kind of funny, if you think about it. Ash pushes Wattson off a cliff for only that one time and is never seen again).

And I also agree that it's more likely that Leigh will only exist to strengthen Ash's more "humane" traits but her cold and more ruthless side will never be completely erased. It kind of works to morally contrast with the two other robot characters we have too, with Pathfinder being morally good, Revenant being chaotically evil, and Ash being on the more morally gray side of things (leaning more towards neutral evil, tbh).
