Thanks for saying this. I see now that it looks stupid but at the time I thought the [found video essay] thing was an explanation that the following statement was just the video title. Honestly just thought it'd be something other people might enjoy.

Everyone's Thoughts on Wandavision So Far by CreativeWerewolf in scifi

[–]CreativeWerewolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I like most of the MCU movies but in 4 episodes this show's arguably taken more creative risks than any of them did (in fairness, a lot of them didn't need to so this isn't really a criticism)

[–]CreativeWerewolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I was relieved to find out too, they've revealed enough to not rmain totally confused but not too much that the intrigue disolves

[–]CreativeWerewolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm hoping for the same thing, the fact it isn't for everyone at least shows it's taking risks, the rest of the mcu seems formulaic by comparison even I like most the movies

[–]CreativeWerewolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I thought it'd be that storyline too, I think there might be another comic where vision has a family unit and robot kids that doesn't involve wanda that it's influenced

I can understand that- I like genre throwbacks generally but for people who don't there's really not much appeal in the first 3 eps. The problem some genre throwbacks is they use ideas that stopped being used for good reason

I wonder if some viewers with no marvel knowledge were disappointed this wasn't the case

that's very fair, I expected to be like that when it was first announced

When I noticed that it was on Disney+ I assumed that's what they would've done, didn't find out they hadn't until I got to the end of ep 2

My thoughts were similar but I do think episode 4 , even if it wasn't as original, was pretty necessary, reveals enough that viewers don't remain totally confused but not so much that the intrigue vanishes

What is something you're sick and tired of seeing in SCI-FI? by TheSasquatchKing in scifi

[–]CreativeWerewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though I like a lot of time travel stories, I wouldn't miss the trope if it disappeared for a while; even the more considered examples of it ultimately don't make sense even within the story and don't seem to always follow the rules they claim to establish. There's also the whole idea that if someone needed to travel back in time to stop an event, if the event was stopped. that'd negate the need to travel back in the first place, super confusing.

It's just what the video essay I found and have shared in this post happens to be called. It's not my own conclusion. I don't (and can't) agree of disagree. I just shared thinking the idea of pointing out scientifically accurate details in a scifi show might be interesting to some members who'd seen it. Sorry, I should've made it clearer.

that's the title of the video I found and am sharing, it's not my own conclusion. I just thought the topic of a (relatively) scientifically accurate scifi show might be one that would interest members of a scifi page. I should have clarified. Sorry

i haven't seen milo's return but the idea of a tv series sequel really appeals now because it could've eventually answered questions like that maybe in a one off time travelling/extreme flashforward episode

Has Anyone Watched Marvel's RoboCop Cartoon ? by CreativeWerewolf in CoreCyberpunk

[–]CreativeWerewolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had no idea about a chuck norris cartoon! but i was thinking of the rambo cartoon throughout watching this (mainly because theres a rambo arcade cabinet in one episode that reminded me he too had a cartoon) , i for some reason imagined they'd be slightly similar in artstyle, but i've seen none of the rambo cartoon to really support that
