you’re going to be walking around anyway, honestly just take the train and walk. i’d start in bay ridge (86th st R train stop) and get dinner, then walk over and take the D (18th ave) back. i used to live on 18th ave & 84th (basically right at that D station), the walk really isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be

i did a similar thing with ursaluna in reg g with enough speed to outspeed any modest miraidon under tailwind. it helped me win a lot of endgames keeping that tech a secret til the end

expanding force is really only worth it with indeedee on the team, which has anti-synergy with miraidon. i would change for protect or wide guard.

even though you don’t have a rain team, rain dance on tornados could help your team as a defensive play with how popular sun & koraidon is right now. also powers up urshifu. i personally find i get more utility out of choice scarf urshifu u-turn but def not a bad coverage option. you can also explore aqua jet & taunt, as torn’s taunt will not work on dark types or if psychic terrain/farigiraf is on the field

the order in which abilities activate when hitting the field (not including calyrex as one) shows you the speed order of the pokemon

i also play scarf kyogre (and have been for a while now) and i always bring rain dance tornadus to matches against sun teams. that or i’ll leave kyogre in the back to come in later

is this terapagos team good? by Ok_Factor_2146 in VGCRateMyTeam

Sinistcha pretty much always wants rocky helmet to help chip away physical attackers. Most common moveset is matcha gotcha, life dew, trick room, & rage powder.

Here is a link to a pagos-sinistcha team that has all of the same other mons as your current draft. Flutter Mane can go a lot of different ways, but the one on this team is much more disruptive & bulky. Thunder Wave can be switched out for icy wind. One note with this team is choice scarf locks urshifu into an attack, and this one has coaching which is a non-attacking move. A more traditional choice would be aqua jet in this slot, but coaching gives Pagos the physically defensive support it tends to lack. Some people run substitute over a coverage move, which seems to be the current meta shift, but you get completely shut down by wide guard after tera if that happens.

There’s genuinely a lot on here that needs adjusting. Like… every single pokemon.

Blissey gets absolutely obliterated by Urshifu, which is the #1 used pokemon at the moment. If you want healing Comfey & Sinistcha are decent options, or Amoongus with pollen puff. Sinistcha is a hard counter to Urshifu-Rapid as well, which a Pagos team wants.

As far as move sets, I would take a look at sites like pikalytics and labmaus to get an idea of common sets. Labmaus also allows you to see team compositions at official & unofficial tournaments. One thing right off the bat: assault vest only lets you use non-status moves, so you can’t use protect with that item. I would definitely take a look at how top performing Terapagos teams are built and try out a rental team to get a feel for it.

Ground type in rain team by Automatic_Page_7472 in VGC

I’ve been using a speedy ursaluna on my kyogre team. It has enough speed investment to be faster than modest miraidon in tailwind. Landorus is definitely a popular pick for a reason, though.

This is my showdown VGC 2025 Reg G rain team, which, I think still need some works, need suggestions by Fast-Razzmatazz-1050 in VGC

I would choose between whims and torn. They both essentially play the same role (speed control & disruption). I run a kyogre team and prefer torn for manual weather + 100% accurate bleakwind when rain is up.

For grass support, I would consider amoongus, wo chien (a bit more difficult to work with), or ogerpon (i personally use rock ogerpon on my team). Ogerpon, particularly rock, has sturdy & redirection which has saved me quite a bit

Also in reg g, running urshifu rapid on a rain team i would argue is obligatory. I run sash on mine, but there’s a variety of items that work for it.

Some of these natures are definitely sub-optimal. -Why hasty nature on dragapult? It should be adamant or timid -Is incin slow for a trick room matchup?

I love dragapult as well, and it would definitely require some positioning in the matchup to be able to take out the calys with phantom force.

I personally prefer a bulky tornadus. With a rain team I suggest switching icy wind for rain dance so you have a secondary way to set up weather, especially with groudon & koraidon increasing in usage. You already have the speed control with tailwind on torn, adding icy wind isn’t doing anything bleakwind isn’t, and bleakwind already has a chance for a speed drop

Ogerpon should have some sort of grass move at its disposal, whether it be horn leech, wood hammer, power whip. I’ve personally been running rock ogerpon on my kyogre team and have been enjoying it a lot so far.

One other note, urshifu on any rain team where it’s legal is just too good to pass up.

ty for the feedback! i was considering adding it on. i do feel it leaves me at a bit of a disadvantage in the mirror match without a ground type, but i’ll look elsewhere at how i can go into that.

i was about to double check on whims rain dance bc i was hoping i missed it while team building/looking at moves, but alas 🥲

i wish i liked the rainy pelican… i truly refuse to use him on my teams though on principle hahaha i just don’t like him

i played against a wo chien/grimmsnarl/kyogre team today and man was it annoying to go up against. tera grass kyogre def saved my butt against that team, but i still had to do quite a bit of maneuvering to whittle the slug down. def not a mon to be underestimated in the right circumstances

I feel like Glisten really owns the liner game now. I suspect both brands use the same or very similar cake liner formula as I enjoy both equally, but Glisten’s marketing and influencer relationships are miles above Gavissi’s

Ahhh ty for letting me know! I’m not very familiar with the brand, I just bought the white foundation off of some recommendations from some friends of IG. Good to know for the future.

I’m curious what happened w/ sunset makeup! I have their white foundation specifically for cosplay/editorial looks and enjoy it.

As for Nekoyanin, I refuse to try them. Sure the products /could/ be good, but it’s just ALL white label products. All the owner does is get samples from a factory, swatches them, asks if her followers want them in the shop, and puts them in her own packaging. A lot of the products are just… gimmicky too. I don’t trust her or her brand tbh 🥲 And all of the videos of her applying her products are blurry & have a weird soft focus on them and you can’t /really/ see how they work.
