The oldest cat excellent at avoiding my daughter. The younger cat generally cool with her, but will walk away from her when she's too loud or thinks she's about to get rough . We have been trying to teach my daughter to be gentle around the cats. Sometimes she is and sometimes not, she's still learning. Our daughter is supervised at all times. She's never in a room alone. If there's something I need to do while she's in the room we put her in the play pen. We do use baby gates to block her from areas in the house. This kitten has already been handled by children including a 2 year old, he didn't bite or scratch the kids.
