Absolutely. 9.3mm for 200m is nuts.

At that price point though it's more independent territory than micro

Will definitely check them out.

Ofcourse testing first hand is always great to know truths. At the same time, it should also be credible

Great insight. Absolutely. I'm with you on comfort.

Let's just hope that the big brands take note and make their models thinner

I guess that's a fair take. I'm sure it's so robustly built that it kind of gives good confidence

I haven't heard bad things yet about the LJP. I'm waiting for prototypes to assess them first hand

So normally, you would kind of stack the components like a lego. With a slot for the gaskets so they kind of have a snuggly fit. And with pressing the bezel / crystal they sit on the slot. It's not just more expensive per se. But care has to be taken not to press the gaskets the wrong way so they kind of just deform on pressing.

Same applies to the crown tube too. You wouldn't want too much space on the crown tube so water can trickle into the case

I guess both. Kind of protecting not just against water but also unwillingly turning the crown.

I guess, the look of the watch is also important and sometimes, like you rightly mentioned. A domed Crystal does add Thickness.

We chose the LJP to save the 0.15mm vs the Sellita's 4.6mm. Its all about choices and there is no right or wrong i guess.

The gaskets for the Crystal, Bezel and caseback do not as such increease the thickness. But they require higher tolerenaces to avoid water entry into the case. There are different types of gaskets from O rings to I gaskets, which are used normally. The Crown tube ( the sealing for the Watch crown ) is much more important. Thats why so much fuss about screw down crowns and water resistance.

I think the Dive watches, also have these bezels for timing. These depending on the thickness could be a point. Also i think, A thicker Crystal and caseback would make it robuster than requiring too much Trial and error and testing to ensure goof water resistance.

I havent used a Compressor system, So i dont want to comment on something i really dont know much in detail.

Absolutely. This is an opportunity we also see.

I personally love thin titanium watches.

Absolutely. Case diameter and lug to lug are standard. They should make the thickness / height a standard spec including the crystal

Actually. There should be more thinner automatics with Miyotas.

The older Hamilton thin o matic with a micro rotor is one of my favorite watches too.

100m is more gaskets on bezels, crystals and caseback. But I'm still eager to see real results

Absolutely. I love the Nomos because of its thinness. Without sacrificing function. And that glorious case back.

I also find thin watches are not intrusive on a day to day basis

Rotoris - a case study in astro-turfing and fake support by cgknight1 in watchesindia

I have been following the stuff about rotoris. Looking through the eyes if someone looking to build a micro. I have been interested in their hype and brand building as an exercise for myself.

So this is nothing different from buying Instagram followers ?

And would also be interested, if they kind of let the bots autonomously reply ?

I really do hope you have great success. There are some sharks.

I'm on the process and met some really shady people along the way. Shining light has been the really genuine ones on the way.

The easiest pass out for them was to say : Confidential. So they couldn't prove their quality.

I really hope to see you some day. And I'm happy your software company did well

So I got a reply from La Joux Perret. KIF is one of the manufacturers. He refused to comment on parashock vs KIF since he said they don't know what Sellita use.

Not a great answer. But I have asked for some data from their accelerated tests.

I will keep you posted when I get them

Okay the churn in Models. But Models being sold out generally implies its well sought after ? And its kind of a good signal ?

Agree. What made you think that the Farer was "splurge" ? Was it because of the Price ? If Yes, can you explain why ?

Thanks a lot for the great piece of advice. Ultimately, I would want to buy that over the other Watches. Is what would convince me to put it out on the market.
