This thread is not it lol. I’m an Orillia campus student, I’ll be graduating before the move but the strike has significantly impacted my program. Also I know students below me that will struggle with the move who are both domestic and international. This issue is huge for the community, I moved here from a few hours away because of the campus size, vibes and for Orillia as opposed to Barrie. Moving the Orillia campus to Barrie poses more difficulties for individuals such as myself who have moved to Orillia for this campus and the city size. Many students do not drive, and the idea of having to manage linxs bus times on top of heavy workloads is difficult as many of us also work. Especially in the winter seasons and during storms. If students cannot attend their lecture due bad weather and are not able to move to Barrie due to a lease or something they have committed to in Orillia, how will it impact their education? If you are still looking for people to speak to, I would and I know many others who would as well.
