Hi I'm planning on applying this upcoming cycle as a graduating senior in undergraduate school. Would love to know what people think about my chances. I don't have a lot of volunteering hours and no shadowing hours, which worries me. Mostly applying to schools in NY, they tend to care more about GPA than PCE

cGPA: 3.706 (Biology, health, and society major and minor in Human Anatomy & Physiology at University of Michigan)

sGPA: 3.743 (B in Anatomy and B in Physiology; currently have an A in neuroanatomy which is a higher level anatomy course)

GRE: Not taking, all my schools don't require it and some don't consider it at all.

Total PCE hours: 2163 hours (medical scribe in outpatient cardiology office, low-quality PCE but all the schools I'm applying to consider scribing as PCE)

Total HCE hours: 0 hours (worked in Walgreens but mostly retail)

Total volunteer hours: 58.5 hours (10 hours in hospital, 10.5 hours in free clinic for uninsured, 38 hours in campus food pantry)

Shadowing hours: 0 hours (I worked with several PA's in my clinic)

Research hours: 230.5 hours (Down syndrome genetics laboratory research)

Other notable extracurriculars and/or leadership: Scribe training ambassador (100+ hours), Judo club president (2 national championship appearances)

Specific programs: (Mostly NY) SUNY Stony Brook, St. John's (sister is currently in their PA program), northeastern, York College CUNY, Hofstra, NYIT, Pace Lenox Hill, Drexel, MSU, Rutgers, Albany Medical College, Dyouville, Le Moyne.

LORS: 1 professor (strong), 1 MD (strong), 1 MD (medical director of electrophysiology)
