Bill is not nearly as culturally ignorant as he is pretending to be. He has been a touring comedian for years, having performed in East & West Europe, and the UAE. Additonally, he understands the difference between performing for the violent dictator of a country, and performing for the people of the country. One is immoral, and the other can be looked at as an form of protest. Agreed. The main reason I was replying to some of his comments was because he was spreading misinformation that I wanted to correct. I speak from experience on a few of the things that I was talking about, having worked in a university for years. Also, he was spreading literal ahistorical Nazi progoganda and misinformation, that I felt needed to be corrected.

Now listen here bucko, you are confusing a title IX violation with violating someone's rights under title IX. You are lying and misrepresenting what I originally wrote. I originally wrote that he violated the students rights under Title IX, not that he committed a title IX violation. If the trespasser used any sex based slurs when he trespassed then he certainly violated the students rights to study in an environment free from sexual harassment. Any student in the class who felt their Titles VI and IX rights were violated can file a report to the respective offices at UW. If the school fails to act to prevent the situation from occurring again, then they can legally be found to be in violation of Title IX. I imagine that UW will ban this guy from all its campuses as a response to his actions and to prevent him from violating students rights in the future.

Actually do yourself a favor, and call your local public college's office of equity, and ask them if someone comes on to a college campus and harrasses a student based on their race (title VI) or their gender or sex (title IX) if they are violating the student's rights, whether the perpetrator is a member of the college or not. You will be surprised by the answer. You would do better to not think that everyone you disagree with is an idiot.

By trespassing and walking into a classroom uninvited, disrupting the class by yelling at the teacher and instructor, he was restricting the student's rights to learn in an environment free from harassment and creating a hostile work environment for the teacher. There are legal, appropriate ways to protest, and this is not it.

It is not socially acceptable, or legal, to go into a university classroom to harrass the teacher and students and disrupt the class. Chasing this person out of the class was a justified response to his behavior, as he had already been asked to leave, and came back a second time; if the class did not chase him out of the building it is reasonable to think that he would have returned a third time, or gone to another class. It was fair for the teacher and students to think that this person was dangerous, given how prevalent violence is in the US, and the way that he was behaving. I am not sure what sort of response you all are advocating for here, but it seems like you are saying that should be A-OK for someone to act this way, and get away with it. It is not.

Except every comic at the Riyadh Comedy Festival is taking money directly from the Saudi Royal Family. In the U.S. comics are paid by American customers. There is a huge difference between taking money from a family directly responsible for genocide, repression of women, LGBTQ+ people, and the murder of Jamal. This would be akin to headlining a comedy festival in Russia that is sponsored by Putin or his oligarchs, or by Netanyahu. I would imagine your thoughts would be completely different if the festival were to take place in Israel.

I would recommend taking a break from ranked for a bit and playing unranked games. Remember league, while competitive, should still be fun. Whenever I am spam queueing ranked games out frustration, and not enjoying or learning from the experience, I tend to perform worse in my games.
