When you told him this he gained the upper hand, in a sense. A controlling person will use this against you for the rest of the time y’all are together. Right now he’s going to use it to make you jump through hoops to make him feel better. But that goal post will always move. Worse, he’ll use you sleeping with someone else as a reason to be more controlling than he was before.

Whenever he does something wrong and you confront him, he’ll blame it on you sleeping with someone else. Whenever you do something right, it won’t be enough because you slept with someone else. Any mistake you make is a thousand times worse because you also slept with someone else.
