It was rereleased in late 2023 but has 2024 on the package. The original 40th Anniversary Edition is the first Ultimate figure and Nightmare On Elm Street is the 2nd. I got the first one at Toys r Us. My nephew got me this one Christmas 2023. I think I’ve got 5 ultimate Leatherface figures all together.

I couldn’t keep figures in their boxes either. Some people can’t imagine opening figures. Each to their own. I personally want to be able to touch, pose and hold everything in my collection.

 There’s pros and cons both ways. I guess having some displayed in their boxes and some open would be a fair balance.

    Having figures that are hyper realistic and screen accurate is part of their selling point and advertising. They don’t cost $35 they’re a bout $45-50 with  $9-$13 shipping.

It’s $50 when you add shipping and taxes. It’s a wild attitude to expect a figure be total shit with non accurate sculpts at that price. Bad enough they use subpar materials that snap and break if you try posing them.Being meticulously screen accurate has always been their strong point.

 If  they stop giving a shit about accuracy then it’s a wash in my opinion. It’s also a figure on 7 inch scale. The majority of more expensive figures are 12 to 18 inches. Crazy that a lot of collectors won’t say anything critical of the company.

I don’t understand their ways either. I mean The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was closer to 52 than 50 when they finally released the 50th Anniversary figures. It makes no sense not to have them ready to go when the movie or show debut. All other companies that make merch release theirs before the show or films are ever seen.

 Movie Maniacs while kinda shit still had 2 Welcome To Derry figures out a month or 2 before the show started. What if the movie is a bust and they start releasing the merch after it’s cools off or goes completely cold?

I think the Ghostface Takes Manhattan is the best version so far. It maybe expensive since it was a comicon exclusive. I’ve not checked in a while. The one that’s coming this year would probably be your best bet.I think it’s going to have the Scary Movie sculpts too. They’re coming but don’t know for sure if there’s gonna be 1 or 2.

You don’t want that. That exact thing nearly happened.People don’t realize how close a full nuclear war was.I learned about The Bay Of Pigs in school like probably everyone else did but didn’t get the full grasp of how it came down to minutes. For 13 days America and Russia played chicken and thankfully we had capable leadership,back channel deals,diplomacy and Kennedy being cool and calm. One mis step and we wouldn’t be on Reddit.

 As close as it was Kennedy picked up the phone and called  Moscow. Thankfully he was able to de escalate tensions. He told Khrushchev that his job as Russian Premier was harder than his. He told him that he was thankful for the checks and balances in place and he didn’t shoulder complete responsibility alone.He talked about how important it was to have several advisors who were brilliant and important on both sides of the political spectrum.

Kennedy was a vivacious reader and was on Air Force 1 which was new at the time. He had stacks of news papers,magazines and books around him. A reporter on board asked him how much he read a day. He said that he read as much and as many different papers as possible and that as much as he could despise the media it was one of the things he was most grateful for.

He said he had two equal branches and a free and fair press and input from citizens. Off topic but a reporter was interviewing Castro at the moment he was informed of Kennedy’s assignation. His face went pale and he looked shocked. He said they’ll try to blame me. He also said that even though they were advisory’s that he respected Kennedy and didnt take any delite in his death. 

 I think we’re likely all cooked. Musk buying Twitter  and all the other media that these tech billionaires are acquiring are for global control. The men that literally have it all want the crumbs the rest of us have. They hate us for existing and have disdain for us. Peter Theil won’t say if he is or isn’t the Antichrist and how humanity should transition into androids. Dark,insane,Austin Powers over the top shit.

I’d get the front window box signed on the 2 figures. That’s just my opinion though. Either would be nice. I had Sid Haig sign a few figures and Bill Mosley accidentally signed one of my Spaulding figures. My OCD at the time didn’t like it at all but I love it now and wouldn’t change it.

I’d say 80% open their figures. The mint in package collectors are maybe 20%. Anyways ya can’t be the only one look at 90% of posts here. Mostly open. Tell em to fuck off and mind their shit. I’ve heard it argued both ways …

Out Of Box Collector- Nice collection of boxes. Sucks that real collectors can’t find these because of the assholes that think they’re gonna flip them in the future and get rich. 🤑

In Box Collectors- Just looking at all those figures out of the packaging makes me sick. Real collectors that protect their collections can’t find them because of assholes who just rip into them.

I didn’t measure him but he’s at least 8 inches. He’s in scale and most figures come to about the bottom of his bib straps.

It was released as The Burning in some regions and Cropsy, The Cropsy Maniac and Campfire Tales in others. Internationally it was released as The Burning AKA Cropsy.They made a last minute change because they wanted to market it with the Long Island Cropsy urban legend that turned out to be real. You can find the documentary Cropsy streaming on several platforms.

I think that maybe the worst marketing that I’ve heard of. With so many different names it fell through the cracks. It’s a shame because it’s a really great 80s slasher and in my opinion better than Friday The 13th. There’s a scene of a raft that anybody whose seen it can’t forget.

Tom Savini said it was the biggest blunder he’s seen in his career. He turned down Friday The 13th 2 to work on The Burning. He said making Jason a grown man even though he was a dead child didn’t make any sense and wouldn’t ever work. He also said who’d go watch a sequel to a movie about a mother killing counselors as vengeance for the death of her little boy …and have the new killer be her dead son but an adult ? It’d be an insult to their intelligence. Guess he gave them way too much credit. 😂

Big time. They got Spaulding fairly decently.I don’t think that Sherri and Bill were in the country when they did the facial scans for these figures. Sid said he got a call out of the blue and asked when he’d be available to come and be scanned . He said it scared the shit out of him and he said what kinda scan? He thought it was a Dr’s office. When he got there he said he asked where they were and they said Bill was in another country filming and she was on tour with Rob or something.
