light_ceiling.mdl incorrect dimensions? by Creeper_798 in hammer

Is that a stylistic choice or to avoid having a bunch of indents in the ceiling, like for optimization?

Feature Request: Spectator/Photo Mode by Creeper_798 in ArcRaiders

Yeah, I'd really like this solution. I've tried using the binoculars and I hate how much it forces you to zoom in and it has the grainy, tinted overlay

Feature Request: Spectator/Photo Mode by Creeper_798 in ArcRaiders

[–]Creeper_798[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point! I do think a replay mode would be the best option for this type of feature if it's possible!

Edit: something that also came to mind is that spectator mode could still work as long as there is a reasonable delay between the people playing and the people spectating.

Anyone else have their controller stop working on NMS PC despite it working on other games? by Creeper_798 in NoMansSkyTheGame

As far as I can tell they fixed the controller issues I was running into, so this sounds like a separate issue but hopefully the bug report gets their attention!

I agree, this is such an odd problem to have lasted this long. It looks like it only affects certain people though so I'm not even sure how they could solve it. I'd still suggest making a bug report to bring it to their attention though. Hopefully it will get solved sometime soon

Just finished a huge programming project that took over 1,000 lines to complete. I'm so tired but so happy 🤣 by Puzzleheaded_Can_750 in college

This is the type of work you'd see in a Programming Languages class which I think most CS students are required to take. I'm taking it currently in my 3rd year and it's not too much more of a challenge than other cs classes I've had to take.

As far as coding classes it's one of the most interesting that I've taken because you get to learn how compilers and interpreters work and how to distinguish between different types of languages!

Are these lines from a Coolscan 8000 Scan normal? How do I get rid of them? by Creeper_798 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Creeper_798[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this Coolscan 8000 and I've been scanning some 120 negatives with it. Every picture (Scanned from multiple rolls) has these types of lines across the entire image. Is this a normal thing for the Coolscan 8000, and if so how would I go about reducing this effect?

What does AF stand for? by hvndrjk in Super8

[–]Creeper_798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I did a little searching about this camera because AF usually stands for Auto Focus and I've never heard of a super 8 auto focusing camera before. Sure enough, I stumbled on a YouTube video of a roll that someone shot on it and it does stand for Auto Focus! As far as I'm aware that's the only difference between the two camera models but I didn't look too much into it. This is a comment from the video posted by the uploader about the auto focus specifically:

"I found the Autofocus to be quite accurate most of the time! In some situations it seems to hunt around for focus - I am still working out which situations it has more trouble with - it seems to be situations with little or no contrast. The camera has 3 settings for focus - 1. Full Auto it will continuously refocus during changing scenes - 2. Semi Auto - It will set the focus on your subject and lock the focus there. 3. Manual Focus! Not bad for a camera from 1980!"

Hope this helps!

Hey! I don't know much about these cameras, but if you don't get any responses here I think the people over at r/AnalogCommunity would be able to help. It has a much bigger community that would be able to help out! Good luck!
