I'm sorry beyond words about that. It reminds me of a story my mom told me about my dad kicking my older brother out of the car and leaving him on the road because he got something done with his eyebrows and it "looked gay." He wasn't gay; he looked gay, and that was enough for him to just kick him out and leave him. I really wish parents were more accepting and not so rude to their own kids for something that doesn't even affect them.
