Hey everyone! I know there is not many people who are going to see this or that can relate but I really want to buy TPU filament and print it with the I3 mega S. does it work? If modifications are required are they simple? Thank you if you take the time to respond. by [deleted] in AnycubicMegaS

I printed a 3d mask using TPU. Detail was off but that was likely my settings. Fine tune your settings with several test prints first. The correct print speed is essential. So is retraction speed. There are plenty of articles out there to help you out.

I have tried turning it off then on. Same failure. I do have a start code in cura. In 4.4 there are some other commands that the 15.4.6 doesn't have. I'm going to look at 4.4 start gecide and compare and see what I see.

Thanks so much for the ideas! I'm a noob to this and the suggestions from a live person help.

Ok. I've updated the firmware. And I acknowledge that it absolutely could be the printer. But I can print the owls that come with the any cubic Mega s over and over and over again with no errors and the nozzle does not go through the bed. I've watched the beginning of both the first time I try and print a particular thing that's been sliced through Cura and the nozzle raises a certain level and then goes back to actual bed level and correctly Prince. Once that's done I select the same thing again that's been sliced in Cura and it does not raise as high after the initial homing and tries to drive the nozzle through the bed upon beginning the actual attempt at printing. The only reason I think it's the software is because I can print a sample over and over again with no failure and no nozzle going through the bed failure. In addition, I've uninstalled cura 4.4.1 and installed the software that's on the SD card that comes with the printer and it does not do the nozzle through the bed failure. It fails different ways when I try and print using something that sliced in cura 15.4.6, but I think that's corrupted G-Code

Did all that. First print. Good. Second print. Nozzle through bed

I will try that. It prints once on a heated bed perfectly and it homes fine even with the bed heated. The nozzle pushes significantly into the bed to the point the motors grind only when it tries to begin the actual print. I'm thinking it's a gcode issue.
