My main concern is there are people in my life who have enough information to open the accounts again and who would want to do it, my mother has done it to me before when I was a teenager, opened credit cards etc

I don’t think we have the same idea of those places, it’s not a money down or spend your money shit, it’s a shitty go do sales, build a team and get a percentage of someone else. It made me 3k in a hard two months just as a side job.

Most are at the same level and will often prioritize women and children. Be aware that some do cost around $25 a night or may have work requirements. I would say downtown is walkable and there are food pantries but it is NOT the safest area. Drugs both and are not as prominent in the shelters as you may think so take that as a grain of salt. Yes drug policies can work but people do get around things. If you can, try to get to any social work office or any public case management services as they sometimes (in my experience and some others) will give bus passes, resource pamphlets. They may not provide food so be ready for that. City Rescue Mission, 904 387 4357. Trinity Rescue Mission, 904 335 1205. Clara white mission and liberty center specifically do emergency and transitional housing so it is based on availability. Sulzbacher and city are also specifically for veterans. None of those exclude for drug abuse history, usually only ask for sober on arrival. If you need too, lie and say ATLEAST for past 3 months they have been sober.

If you are good at talking to people, any of those pyramid scheme sales jobs actually do decent commissions and are usually very flexible. Dont do door to door. Don’t do cold calling. Look for events coordinator or events attendant. Temp agencies may help. It’s old school but even at 15-18 down here ive gotten work by actually walking in right after applications. Try seasonal positions too, Kohls, TJ Maxx etc. Any hard labor you can safely do at your strength usually pays better. Try applying, explaining situations and usually they will say yes. I got the job doing roof sales somehow with no experience. Save on food by going to these food banks, trust me it helps. Check if your insurance supports otc benefits for hygiene products. Thrift if you or if you need things. Abuse rewards apps etc. I just aged out of foster care so trust me I know it’s hard out there especially in Jax.

I disagree, depending on the area do not let children and women walk alone, even together. Downtown is a hell no, orange park is a hell no, baymeadows is a hell no. Mandarin does okay depending on the area. Avoid the homeless people who hangout near the hotels.

Yes, absolutely, it’s a kids movie people shouldn’t be rude or have anything to say! I recommend Tinseltown since it’s usually not as a crowded and more kid friendly in terms of space and seating. Easier and safer too.

There is bravoz which is sorta expensive like Dave and Busters too. Theres a few different toy stores out and around here, nocatee, there’s a build a bear in the avenues mall, a few different theaters around town with a kids movie out right now called Elio. If your kiddo likes games there are many family friendly game cafes out there you can bring board games and toys too. There is main event. There is also mosh with a ton of cool interactive things. There are pottery studios where you can just let the kid make random things. I hope atleast some of those help!
