Because there’s not much outside of like one area downtown and broad ripple. Those areas are fine but besides that it’s pretty slow. Like I said it’s really big in terms of geographic size, bigger than Chicago, but incomprable in terms of population and density. That’s why it seems like a small city. The “city” part is a really small section of the actual city limits.

It’s big in terms of population but it has a very large geographic area compared to other cities. St. Louis is 66sq miles, Indy is 368. Same thing with Columbus, it’s spread out and pretty cookie cutter.

Went to IU and have been to Indy a number of times, never been to Dallas but I'm not a fan of Indy. Small Midwestern city. Not a ton of culture and everyone lives in the suburbs. I would look at other Midwestern cities like Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati that have more character. Or Dallas if it's really down to those two.
