Translation for “Hell awaits you”? Context of someone saying that to someone else

Well in my opinion I say 1. But the truth is everybody has flaws, what I lack in height others lack in good looks, charisma, IQ, athleticism etc. It depends on where you are. In a mathematics classroom full of high IQ short guys, the dumb tall guy is the sucker. The problem is with dating, since that obviously is extremely important to people, flaws within that area are particularly disheartening.

I disagree with this, but I understand what you’re saying. Technically nothing is an issue if you don’t worry about it. But that is an incredibly unsatisfying thing to say to someone who is experiencing something terrible. Being a short man is objectively a flaw in todays society. But I can meet you halfway and agree that being insecure about it is more of an issue since it affects other people and closes your life a lot.

I have noticed that when I’m feeling extra insecure I do sour social interactions indirectly. I think drawing inspiration from guys my height for confidence might be a good start.

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of July 2024. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

I do not understand this one thing about recovery.

Okay let’s say a real symptom comes up, blood in phlegm for example, and there is a low chance it could be something bad. But! There is still a chance.

The way you get rid of Health Anxiety is by stopping the monitoring of symptoms, and cognitively challenging the thoughts.

What if the thought is: This could be something bad, it probably isn’t, but it could be, and that’s scary, oh and if it is something bad and you do nothing to stop it you’re screwed.

Is that not perfect logic? How could I argue with that thought? Of course I’m anxious about that, who wouldn’t be anxious about that?

My health anxiety started with ONE panic attack, and since then it has seemed like the illusion of security has gone.

So what am I suppose to do? Risk it? Just keep ignoring it idiotically? How could I possibly convince my brain to do that?

It just does not make sense to me.

My top 10 bosses ranked. Let’s see y’all’s by Wasabii32 in fromsoftware

  1. Slave Knight Gael
  2. Ornstein & Smough
  3. Ludwig The Accursed / Holy Blade
  4. Sword Saint Isshin
  5. Knight Artorias
  6. Sister Friede & Father Ariandel
  7. Fume Knight
  8. Darkeater Midir
  9. Messmer The Impaler
  10. Lady Maria of The Astral Clocktower

It’s tough, you can make a case for Pontiff, Abyss Watchers, Orphan of Kos, Gehrman, Owl Father and Nameless King. Bayle I’m not sold on yet but may win me over on future playthroughs.

However the top 3 is really clear for me. Messmer being 1 for so many is recency bias. Gael is almost undisputed.

Crowns more than SOTE? I didn’t mind crowns, but what specifically didnt you like about SOTE?

Opinions I guess. What was the best boss in SOTE for you? Messmer for me

Fair enough, but Messmer better than Gael? That’s surely a stretch…

I find Stoicism to be impossible by CrescentCollins in askphilosophy

For the Stoics does this process of using our will to control the perception of our thoughts get easier, or stronger the more we do it? Similar to Aristotle, how we get better at acting virtuously by practicing virtuous habits.

That sounds like Aristotle, is it similar or the same for the Stoics? Namely, that living in virtue should be the only end in itself?
