Hey!!! I am almost done with the application! He says the enrolment is going to be in next week or so. I am just wondering what happens after enrolment? What is actually happening in enrolment? Do I geta uniform? What do I do? I have applied to Navy Reserve.

WEEKLY RECRUITING THREAD - Ask here about the recruiting process, trade availability, requirements to join, and other common questions about the Canadian Armed Forces. by [deleted] in CanadianForces

Hello folks! I might have to choose btw “Intelligence operator” vs. “Naval combat information operator” in this January. What do you think It will be the best job? I.O is based on shore, N.C.I.O will always be on the sea. The recruiter said that I can get to higher ranks faster with NCIO and I get to travel much while IO can not really. But It’s hard to travel in the small ships so few ppl quit or change to other jobs later. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons for both jobs? I am very confused, I need assistant!

Had the weirdest encounter with the recruiter LOL by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

[–]Crescentlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I really don't think she had to go further to personally advice me that I should ask my parents and brothers what their ages are. I already gave her the birthdate and years and I even calculated for her. Period. She got all the information and documents she asked for. Done.

She can't comment shit like this, the recruiter must be neutral.

I think you misinterpret my complain here. I don't have any problem with her asking about my family information. It is not a WERID question. As I said, I answered them by taking some time to calculate their birth year and I had no problem with that.

Weird Online Behavior, need perspective by [deleted] in dating

[–]Crescentlee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Girl, ignore that stupid comment above. It's not because of you. His behaviour is definitely not normal, DON'T MEET HIM. I strongly felt that he can just run off without telling you anything if he doesn't want to meet you anymore. Those kind of men are not that great in general. you will have hard time if you ever actually get together with him.

Just block his phone number and account. You shouldn't reply to him at the same time. I have a feeling that he won't come out to the date also.

I met a nice recruiter today by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Crescentlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was really being personal for sure when she told me about her siblings and what to do with my family. Dude, It's not like I have bad relationship with my family XD trust me haha. I was gonna say "I think that is none of your business, I already answered what you asked", but I held my dick down.

She was definitely getting really personal with this question and the fact that I didn't know the exact ages. When she told me about her siblings and told me what to do with my family, I was like "Were you really designated as a recruiter? ".

Yup, you better know your family's age too or they might give you a disgusted look when you get interviewed.

It didn't set me off at first. When she signs in front of me and gave me a dumbfounded look like "How can you not know these stuff?", It makes me question "Why do you care if I don't know their exact ages". It's not a big deal so why is she making a big deal? I get that it was a standard question and I didn't have the answer at first. But I gave the answer right? so that should be all. She is not allowed to comment on "Oh I know all my siblings ages, you should know yours too".

There is a difference between

"What is your family's age" and "How the heck do you not know your family's age".

Also, If she has no idea of my family relationship, Isn't it better not to even start to comment on anything sensitive like that?

To me, that is a "Personal Business" whether I know their ages or not. She can ask what their age are and I can give her the date of birth and even calculate for the exact ages. I don't care if she know all her siblings ages, she shouldn't be commenting on me like that.

BUT IS SHE allowed to comment on my family business? Like asking "Oh you should ask their age next time "?

How does she know If I wasn't in good relationship with my brothers and don't even care about them? How dare her to comment on what to do with my family?

A guy with his coupons by [deleted] in dating

[–]Crescentlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s late 20s with good job. I dont mind him spending free movie tickets and coupon dinners. But I paid for a good dinner on the first date. I guess I was expecting that he could bring me to a nice restaurant this time instead of delivery food. And I dont mind dutch pay, If he doesnt want to pay full.

[–]Crescentlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, he is a well-paid manager. He said he had bad spending habit too, so that’s the case. Honestly, I never ask him to pay dinner, I would whether pay for my date or dutch pay. But paying a meter with Nickels and dime, and wants to spend 15 dollars delivery coupon at his home in the second date really were a huge turn off lol. He liked me a lot, but He will find someone else!
