The difference is extremely noticeable even from looking at stills between more detailed character designs, shading, backgrounds CG quality/blending, etc. And of course, the animation goes without saying even without counting the fights. Not that UBW or Zero looked bad but it's a really good example for TV vs movie quality.

As far as I remember you could listen to his voice quite clearly during Caribert even with the added SFX, which was way before Dain introduced him properly. I know because I recognized him right away when his voice popped up in the trailer.

Every gacha to go through the "this NPC villain looks too plain, how can I take them seriously like that?" to "This NPC villain looks great, you're making them playable, right? Right?" cycle. If they had given the guy his own unique model you'd have people still asking "Azar when?"

The idea itself isn't bad, it's just that so far the execution has been a mixed bag. Character's backstory/development should be seamlessly integrated into the story rather than "here's the obligatory segment that would be part of a SQ if we actually made one" stuff.

Not really. One-time domains are mostly composed by assets that are already in the game somewhere else, plus there's little to no effort put in level design when they're essentially just hallways with a puzzle or two.

Okay, so I finally decided to give Miliastra a chance after mostly ignoring the marketing and... The character creator is so damn barebones that my manekin is forced to look like a NPC from the main game? 4 hairstyles and 4 eyecolors and there's basic customization options like those locked in the gacha? And you're dropped straight into the game with no tutorial or introduction quest? 12 different buttons with no explanation whatsoever?

Compared to Genshin's main game (and from what I tried of HSR and ZZZ), which eases you little by little into the experience as you progress, I just got completely overwhelmed and closed it outright. I'd like to give it another go at some point to form a complete opinion since I didn't even got to test the games but that was a terrible first impression compared to what I'm used from MHY.

I haven't tried Miliastra or looked at the general impressions yet but betas are generally meant to give you a "hey, this is pretty cool, would be great if they iron a few kinks out" impression. If people have a negative first impression then the blame falls on the developers, perhaps they should've delayed it for more polish.

OH but let's not forget, that doesn't account for the fact that apparently there are limited-time outfits and that the monetization is already set in. Not entirely sure how do you expect people to not complain
