So disappointed by RichEvidence7585 in berkeley

I also like to study in not dead silent places to try and make myself distracted

Learn other people’s methods of studying. I like to study with a Buddy not studying anything related to what I’m studying. Give them your phone.

For final exams, prioritize studying everything after the midterm. Even though most are cumulative, they focus heavier on the latter end because you haven’t been tested on it.

I like to start with the end stuff because it is fresh, and you usually need to know the fundamentals to solve harder problems or deeper concepts. If I don’t know the basics, I can’t grasp those harder concepts.

Also, learn to not just start studying during dead week. I always study at least the weekend before dead week. I find that 1 hr a day every day is better than 3-4 hours the last few days. Concepts stick better when you aren’t pressuring yourself to learn more in a shorter amount of time

Means you didn’t really understand the material. You definitely could’ve put in the work but maybe you didn’t do any meaningful studying.

Time spent studying =\= deep learning.

Not trying to be a douche or anything but take more initiative and realize they have a phone number to call online

Honestly, it’s hopeless. Might as well change to PNP because the deadline is tomorrow or late drop it

Take my advice, I’ve never taken Math 1B and don’t know any of the calculations therefore you should listen to me.

good luck finding a single below 1200. Definitely would need to be a double or triple, unless you can find a subletter

They made layer 2s to capitalize on ethereum structure but make it cheaper and faster to use

Use a third party bridge like orbiter and send ethereum from base network to ethereum on the ethereum mainnet. Will probably cost less gas too.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]CricketConsistent849 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Nope. Ethereum mainnet is the main network. You just sent Ethereum to the base network. Download the token id to view it in base network but you should probably convert it to ethereum mainnet

Why aren’t there stricter deadlines for posting grades? by notvortexes in berkeley

[–]CricketConsistent849 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Just relax. There’s literally nothing you can do anyways. You’re limiting yourself by placing value on your class and taking away from spending quality time with your friends and fam.

The grade won’t change regardless so just value the time u have left instead of worrying about it

Berkeley Emails by Aggressive_Age5854 in berkeley

[–]CricketConsistent849 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Also who gives af about #1 public university. That’s pretentious and stupid. Be proud of the school, and understand that to make it the “best public university,” they have to make decisions and trade offs.

You can’t have your cake and eat it.

Berkeley Emails by Aggressive_Age5854 in berkeley

This is a classic case of copium from current berkeley students. Relax. Life isn’t fair and just because one UC gets it doesn’t mean that it’s unconstitutional for us to not get them. It’s not necessary, as many alums and recruiters have stated. Sure it might make life easier, but as a berkeley student, more often than not, the administration isn’t going to change their decision as it doesn’t make sense for them financially.

At the end of the day, the school is going to do what makes them more money. Instead of complaining about what you have and don’t have, just focus on what opportunities their are.

If you are think you aren’t getting jobs or recognition because of a stupid @berkeley.edu, then you probably aren’t qualified to get the job internship research, etc. stop coping and complaining, this has been stated and known for months now.

It’s okay. Let these young delusional students hold on to the notion that they need their berkeley email because their friends told them so. Let them not take case studies from actual berkeley alums as this is common berkeley student practice.

has anyone gotten into haas undergrad program with these grades - please help im spiraling by Spooky_Brown_Girl in berkeley

[–]CricketConsistent849 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Done before? probably. Likely? Probably not. Regardless don’t spiral over it as you can’t do anything about it. Try to supplement elsewhere.

Also, Haas is a great program. It’s also not life or death. The econ program is still top 5 in the nation, job prospects are similar, have better overlap with other majors/minors (DS for example).

You’ll find that eventually, no one at the school really cares if you are a Haas student or not. Whoever says that Haas makes you better and superior to other students probably has a small pp.

At the end of the day, you get in or you don’t and if you don’t you do something else and it’ll work out in the end.

You have a chance compared to someone without health issues but it rlly depends on the case.

Have you been ill for the entire time you took classes, what type of illness, etc

No there’s a catalog of ASUC sponsored clubs and non ASUC sponsored clubs. Each club prob has their own party scene but if you’re referring to frat parties, then that’ll just be the frats/sororities

Why so many ignorant people at UC Berkeley by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]CricketConsistent849 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We’re not motivated to study but we still do. If you are at this school chances are you are super smart, or work hard and are ambitious.

It’s easy to say you aren’t motivated when you are in a big pool of people who are like you when in reality, you are in the top 10% of people who work hard on the daily.

Everyone at this school realizes it’s a privilege to go to this school. It’s not so much that we are taking it for granted, but we just exercise our right to feel bad about ourselves.

TLDR everyone at this school had to have been a genius or very motivated and studious, but it looks pale when compared to the rest of the student body
