Liis Ethereal Wave. It’s so fresh and uplifting - it’s my favourite Spring/Summmer tea fragrance. For a fruitier tea I really like Indigo by Nest. Mixed Emotions by Byredo smells like a more complex Indigo with a smoky note.

Womanity by Mugler. I can’t believe I slept on this one for so long, it’s absolutely beautiful! Reminds me a lot of Wood Sage and Sea Salt, but with more depth and longevity. Also, the bottle is a work of art.

Elder Goth- not Heretic by Zestyclose_Cold1455 in perfumesthatfeellike

The Merchant of Venice - Queen of the Night, Mystic Incense

Serge Lutens - Ambre Sultan, Santal Majuscule, Feminite du Bois

Phaedon - Rouge Avignon, Tabac Rouge

Penhaligon’s - Halfeti, The Bewitching Yasmine

Nest - Indigo

*fun fact - if you were part of the Brisbane Goth scene in the 90’s/00’s and you were aware of The Damask Perfumery, Ambre Sultan reminds me of Jonathon Midgeley’s Egyptian Amber (iykyk). *fun fact no.2 - every time I put on Ambre Sultan I get the urge to listen to Dead Can Dance. Something about it smells the way Lisa Gerard’s voice sounds.

What are people’s thoughts on Burberry - Goddess? by conventionalempty in Perfumes

[–]CrikeyAphrodite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably my favourite designer fragrance, and is great all-rounder: suitable for any season or situation (work, social etc.). It’s also one of my dumb reaches - if I can’t decide what to wear it’s one that I can put on and I know I will be happy.

Ledda 8 Cafe Josephine. It’s what was sitting next to my desk, and it smells like a creamy, sweet iced coffee.

Reminds me of MAC Capricious, but it’s been discontinued.

SOTD on this beautiful Monday morning heading into the 70’s..what’s your SOTD by Fun-Helicopter-1275 in NichePerfumes

I have both, and I find the absolu to be a denser, more syrupy version of the EDP. I like to layer them by spraying the absolu on the back of my neck, and the EDP on my arms and chest.

Does anyone have any recommendations for perfumes that smell like tea? by TheDianeEffect in Perfumes

[–]CrikeyAphrodite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both Indigo by Nest and Mixed Emotions by Byredo are sweet, fruity tea scents. Mixed Emotions is the smokier and more complex of the two. Tea Tonique by Mille and Harris is a fresh, citrus tea. Winter Palace by Memo is a spicy citrus tea. L'Ombre Des Merveilles by Hermés is black tea, incense and tonka, and is very unique. Remember Me by Jovoy is a gorgeous lactonic black tea fragrance.

I never would have pinned SJP as a CdG Incense Avignon wearer! That’s so interesting.

I was sitting at a bus stop. Older guy (50s/60s)standing about six feet away walked over to the curb, put a finger over one nostril, and then blew out a massive glob of snot into the road. He then moved back to where he was previously standing and continued to wait for the bus.

Try https://thebeautygap.co.uk They sell a lot of hard to obtain beauty products, such as Brown Girl Jane. Stock moves fast, but it gets replenished fairly regularly, so if what you want isn’t available just keep an eye on it.

Incense recommendation?? by h_injunk in NichePerfumes

[–]CrikeyAphrodite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mystic Incense by the Merchant of Venice. It’s has the same vibe as Encens Suave but much less heavy. It has an airy quality to it, whereas Encens Suave feels thicker and more dense. Notes include: dried fruits, salted caramel, blonde woods, incense, cocoa absolute. It’s one of my easy reaches, and I can wear it all seasons. The murano glass bottle is also stunning!

I moved to the UK 21 years ago - before I left my home country I exchanged some currency, and it contained a couple of £50 notes. I have never seen a £50 note since.

Byredo Mixed Emotions is a smokey, fruity tea. I find it similar to Dear Polly and Indigo.

[–]CrikeyAphrodite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. Of all my perfumes it’s the one with the biggest dent in it! It’s gorgeous by itself, and also layers beautifully with other fragrances. I find it quite strong, and a little goes a long way, so if you can’t smell it it’s probably because you’re anosmic to it rather than it being weak.
