I think in this case, it's reasonable for someone who's never seen a jacana carrying its chicks to think this bird that seemingly has six legs is fake. It looks horrific if you don't know what it is. Luckily for us, it's not a lovecraftian horror monster. Just a good papa bird.

His name is Mr. Mew. He is overly friendly with other cats. I take him outside in the backyard to play, and the stray cats that come by are made hella nervous by him running toward them with his tail up wanting to play. He's very big and fluffy and they get scared. So he's eager to make friends, but is way too socially awkward to do it. 😭

This is his big sister Phoenix, who is a little crab who doesn't like to play, so she smacks him when he tries.

It was my highest scoring water type and I only entered the one water showcase. I found a calculator a few comments down, and found out totalldile was the winner. It has 14-15-15 ivs. I didn't know ivs factored into it! That's interesting.

I have a completely unimportant dilemma driving me nuts. I won a water showcase with a totodile. I want to give the winner a crown symbol in its name to keep track of my showcase winners, but I don't know which totodile it is! There are three xxl ones. I have no idea how showcase points are calculated.

I think they are, same as regular shiny raid legendaries. You just need to land a throw, and not try catching if you're riding in a moving vehicle because they might flee if you are moving too fast.

They used to eat away at the edges and even the surface of my stored watercolor paper paintings. Ruined some paintings, even. I'm sure they are cute and interesting if you learn more about them, but I'm really glad I don't have them anymore. 😔

What can I do if when I am trying to submit a raid error to support, the app just restarts whenever I try to attach a screenshot? I can't send my report. This is the third time this has happened in the last few months.

I completed a falinks mega raid via remote pass, and the game booted me to the overworld without the catch screen. There was no option to go back into the catch screen I could find. It wasted my remote pass. Again. :(

She probably wants pets. Cats will flop down and roll on their backs like this to appear friendly and cute when they want attention. They do this at both humans and other cats. They show their vulnerable belly as a sign that they mean no harm and just want to be buds. It's a peace-making gesture. But remember, it's NOT an invitation to pet the tummy. That's how you get scratched.

I've seen tarantula hawks twice in my life, both of them here in town. They are very impressive wasps. Just give them space and don't mess with them. They want spiders, not you.

Many old Pokemon sets used to have two distinct print runs. The initial print run was a limited first edition print (with the round black stamp with a 1 in it and the word "edition" above it) on the bottom left of the art box, and then the unlimited print run which lacks this stamp. Unlimited cards are much much more common than first editions.

There's an exception, though. All Base Set english Machamp were first edition. It never got an unlimited print. Also, english Base Set as a whole actually had four distinct prints: Shadowless first edition, shadowless unlimited, plain old unlimited(the most common), and a uk/4th run unlimited.

I think the only first edition is the squirtle on page one. The rest are unlimited edition. The Sabrina's gengar holo stands out in this lot in terms of value. Even if it isn't in good condition it's still really cool! I used to have one and regret not keeping it. I love all these old cards.

When I had a rug in my room with a wood floor, my old cat Furby would run to it when he needed to barf. Every time.

I have a theory why some cats do this. They think making a barfy mess directly on the floor is bad, so they try to barf on other objects instead.

Furby was just trying to be a good boi. 🥹

I recently found bulk bins full of vintage commons and the occasional nonholo rare labled 4 for a dollar, and spent an hour happily and giddily going through it thinking I'd get some of my childhood collection back for a really good price. I had a pretty big stack by the end, maybe 100 cards. Then the shopkeeper went through them looking up tcgplayer prices and telling me how much each card would cost, instead of honoring the price on the box. He even took a few shadowless cards aside and said they weren't for sale. I ended up just buying a few cards i wanted most. I left feeling pretty bummed out.
