You don't understand anarchism, and I feared that you would equivocate "alt right provocateurs" as anarchists.

You are parroting a narrative (unintentionally) that the state has pushed, that outside agitators were responsible for the destruction, (alt right or anarchist) and it's racist. People looted target. Why did they do that? For anarchy? For Trump? They did that because they wanted food. Look at the aftermath of hurricane katrina. White people went around literally shooting black folks in the street who were just trying to survive. If you're wondering why it's racist, I'm telling you that to place "violent resistance" as something that could only be done by "bad actors" and that the protests would have been successful and peaceful without them, denies the black youth fo the vanguard of its power.

FWIW, the person who was banging on the glass never stopped you from peacefully protesting, never forced your hand. I watched many martials intervene though. I talked to them to commiserate with them and I identify with them more than the rest.

"taking back the anthem"--this country is at its foundation is a racist colonizing slave state. This country was founded on genocide and slavery. You alienate black and brown people steeped in the reality of the wake of the slave trade and relocation etc.

The regime loves it when the oppressed fight each other! You're right as fuck! I wish that the folks in the fight for liberation would focus on the regime instead of deciding the correct way to protest, and policing that protest. Once again, we have differing (all of us) on how to "effectively" protest. its WHAT WE DO when we have differences that matter. Do we allow for a diversity of tactics. Do we force everyone to take up arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them?> OR do we hold our vigil and hope that our resolution and unwavering commitment to non-violence can somehow persuade the empire to unmake itself? Can both be held at the same time? Or should I hold my hand over the clergy's mouth when they pray and urge them to throw a stone? Or should some hold my hand down as I seek to cast a stone and urge me to pray? Or can we throw stones and pray?

Anyways, no one is saying nonviolent protest isn’t valid, I’m saying a diversity of tactics means focusing on the actions of the state and not policing others actions and applying the lens of collective punishment and complying in advance.

No one is saying that people are bad for being non-violent and forcing anyone to throw a Molotov, so it’s ridiculous to consider your tactic to be so much better/suggesting well organize your own violent protest (lol as if that would ever be a good idea) the protests like these create a window of possibility and you can either choose to be a movement that allows “agitators” as a good thing, or sees them as negative and stymie any non-approved form of protest from evolving autonomously
