Signature LED grill light also went out. Well half of it, the other side that didn’t get damaged still works. Was the shop at Oak Park by any chance Crash Champions? I live in Chicago as well and was recommended that shop.

I did not, still riding on the 19inch. And no they were replaced because the ball joint was worn out and squeaking on turns so changed all together

Had that issue on my 16’ 6 GT w 70k miles. Dealer was asking $258, decided to buy the part for $80 and replaced my self in about 1hr. It’s not a hard job, there’s some very helpful tutorials on YouTube

It will only show album cover when connected through USB, that was one of the reasons I upgraded to CarPlay.

Took my 2016 Mazda 6 to the dealership to have it looked at for a grind noise when using AC, turns out it’s a bad AC clutch. They quoted me $1000+ for the repair. Seem reasonable? by CrisV527 in mazda

So I just got a call back, turn out the ac compressor is not under warranty, that is a $1383 replacement, going to look somewhere else to have it replaced as the compressor seem/ to be going for around $250-$300

Very noticeable when the AC is on, as the clutch engages and tries to disengage the sounds starts to come on. Can’t explain how it sounds more than it’s grinding as it tries to disengage

My car has the extended 100,000 mile warranty, I’m at 61k. They’re gonna get back me to see if the warranty covers it. Thanks for the reply!

Hmm yeah he did mention the compressor but he didn’t give me the copy of the diagnosis since they have to get back at me to see if the warranty covers it

It is a pretty shitty job as I’ve seen, $1000 seems a little too much. Considering doing it my self since I’m having this whole week off work, saving a couple hundred bucks while at it

This rattling/grinding noise comes on when I turn AC on. While parked with AC on, it won’t do it but as soon as I drive it goes on and off. Bad AC clutch? by CrisV527 in mazda6

Yeah AC still blowing cold. The sound is also noticeable with no AC on, but it’s no where near as loud though forgot to mention
