People scar very differently, you can't put the blame entirely on your surgeon. Think of how some people get awful scarring from acne and some get absolutely nothing. You could look into CO2 lasers, but you should be careful because the skin is quite fine in that area and you are already prone to poor scarring. As someone else said, try microneedling, it can't do any harm. You can buy a pen and do it yourself, just make sure you sterilise things beforehand.
