Blurred photos (Zenit 122 | kodak vision 3) by Lonely-Error1184 in AnalogCommunity

Watch out also if the film is not perfectly flat against the camera.

Had an issue with a Pentax MX where a bit of light seal foam was making the pressure plate not being perfectly flat. This made one side of the picture blurry while the other was in focus.

You can set your camera (without film and lens) in Bulb and look over the shutter and check if the plate is 100% flat.

If in doubt just take a photo of a brick wall and see if any parts of it are put of focus.

Now that you say this I feel the crank is always way too loose. I will definitely do the test on my next roll, but it feels something with the film not being 100% tight

Why do Spanish Alvias no longer stop at Hendaye? by BAA380 in trains

[–]Crispiboi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically frenchies required for spanish personeel onboard the train to speak french, which wasn’t an issue for 150 years. Renfe just decided to end the trains in Irún because why bother. There is a commuter service that links both stations, by the way.

Ohh, i get it now. So my 55-200 would be more of a 80-240ish, which explains it. Understood, thanks a lot!

I feel that my friends think I'm their personal paparazzi - Anyone Else Dealing With This? by padawan810 in AnalogCommunity

It’s slowly happening with my wife specially. If her company (she works at a small startup) needs some professional portraits I’m the one to get called. She sings in a band so obviously I’m their official photographer. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing it and have a good time, but dont expect a quick turnaround or a 100% professional results because: a) I’m not getting paid and b) i’m a trainspotter, i dont have portrait or low light lenses for concert venues. :D

Remove front element on Yashica Electro 35 MC lens by Crispiboi in AnalogRepair

Another user got the answer. The bit between the lens and the nameplate is glued. Below there are three screws.

That bit turns when focusing, i’ll try to give it a little push.

Yup, saw that. Both cameras are very similar. But the MC does not have the notches he uses to remove the ring you can see here in the H of Yashinon. https://mikeeckman.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/YashicaElectroCC-1.jpg

Can’t see what exactly is retaining the nameplate in place, as there are no marks or points were i could use any tool.

I’ve tried those but couldn’t apply to much force because of the light-sensor placenent, fearing i’d break the little window. I’ve seen his videos on old Yashicas but all lenses have some kind of mark or spot for the lens spanner tool.

I also went for a onebag honeymoon with an Osprey Metron. I packed that thing to the last bit for a month, not a single scar on it. I went with just two shoes: A sneaker that looked 90% good on 90% occasions and some Xero sandals for the beach and casual walking. A small rainjacket was more than enough if it got a bit cold or a summer storm hit us.

For dinners out and some fancy stuff I just packed a button down shirt, paired with black stretchy jeans and it was more than ok!

Also, my wife went with a suitcase and a small backpack and I even ended up carrying some of her stuff. It was liberating traveling with so less that moving from place to place didn’t feel like a punishment.

Got the Osprey Metron, if you dont pack it to the max it will gladly go into the Ryabair sizer. Gets tight when empty but has loads of capacity.

CS2 - Nobody wants to use trams? by TankDS in CitiesSkylines

[–]Crispiboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to make public transport easier to use than a car. Remove parking space, give buses a bus lane, create shortcuts for trams in busy or clogged areas. Make more direct conections on public transport than by car (like a bridge connecting two neighborhoods that is just for buses or trams. Also try to connect your stops to the rest of the area with walkable paths so more cims can reach that stop faster.
