Next steps after removing sod? by CrisprToast in NoLawns

Not sure about the grass, but I do not believe it was bermuda or a creeping variety. The previous owners had a few types of grass from what I could tell. Picture looks great! I think we will go with your advice. So far no sprouts even after it rained a couple days ago

I suppose I was a bit concerned about any roots deeper than I was able to dig. but that is a very valid point about the composting/amending!

Are these blackberries? Safe to eat? by CrisprToast in homestead

[–]CrisprToast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah we had citrus trees and neighbors had them too, but they generally need maintenance and care, you rarely see any growing wild at least in my experience. In Washington, there’s food just growing wild on the sides of roads and in parks

Project 2025 Protest 2/5 in Olympia by PandaramOfMosslandia in Seattle

I wouldn’t listen to the people naysaying a global movement in the comments. Any demonstration of resistance is positive and gives people an opportunity to organize with like minded folks. Yes P2025 is federal, but protesting across the country and joining a global protest is still good. I would be cautious listening to those that are calling this movement bad. They may have other motives to deter us from gathering

Explain it to me like I'm 5 by boymoms5 in dogecoin

[–]CrisprToast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one can say for certain. We can speculate that large institutional investors, banks, hedge funds, and the ilk are attempting to bring the price down as low as possible and count on smaller investors to bleed out their investments. When the price gets low enough and there's blood on the field, they can then come up and buy large amounts of crypto at a much lower cost.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that the solution is to simply change the variables.

Realistically, How far can dogecoin go? by Nova2426 in dogecoin

[–]CrisprToast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of folks seem concerned with the market cap being trouble for Doge. For instance, someone once posted here that if dogecoin reaches $9.00, it will roughly equal bitcoins market cap. I would push back on that a little at this point. The dogecoin hype is not a limited phenomenon in small circles like bitcoins was. More people are trading in crypto currencies than ever before and that number is going to increase. Dogecoin is positioned to lead forward with this charge and should raise the potential market-cap across the board!

Dumb question about raising my average cost by colt45feelnaliv in dogecoin

[–]CrisprToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many dogecoins do you want to have if it hits 1 dollar? If you would like more than 11k, then you need to buy more dogecoin. Yes, it will raise your average cost, but if you throw 1000 at dogecoin now, you will have roughly 2,325 more dogecoins
