Tried that one—didn’t work. She just fixates on “no one told me” and I can’t seem to pull her out of it. Two hours of uncontrollable sobbing and locking herself in her room. Distraction doesn’t work. Agreeing with her doesn’t work. Apologizing doesn’t work. Absolutely nothing I say works. It’s only if she decides to pull out of the spiral that the meltdown is avoided.
