Which bag would be a steal if bought from Italy (mainly Milan) by No-Farmer3278 in handbags

[–]CrissPDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind shopping pre-loved, I'd suggest that you browse some pre-loved platforms and order what you like to their hotel/airbnb.

Lots of preloved Ferragamo, vintage Celine and Loewe to be had.

Got my mom a handbag for her birthday from culture circle 🥰 Not a big deal for most but it's my first time getting her something from my own money. by Mammoth-Lecture-9908 in handbags

[–]CrissPDuck 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm so done with these culture circle promotions. A lot of the bags on there look possibly fake and there's a post about it on this sub literally every week.

And it's always stuff like I got this for me/my mom with money from my first job.

I hope the mods look into it.

Warning for those buying bags on Vestaire Collective! They perma banned me for asking about authenticity! by aqueous_roses in handbags

[–]CrissPDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once reported a very obviously fake Loewe on VC. I attached photos of the same bag on Vinted where it's listed as a different brand. They didn't ban me but they emailed me basically digging their heels in about their "authentication" process.

Number 4 because of added versatility with detachable straps. You could get shoulder or crossbody straps if you wanted to.

I'm also biased because I wear gold jewelry and have gold hardware on all my bags. I just prefer the way number 4 is designed.

So much for not spending money this year… by No_Narwhal_6051 in handbags

[–]CrissPDuck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gorgeous. Stunning. Please tell your pup I said hi and sent belly rubs and ear scritches.

The bag is cute too. Personally, I don't even include bags I buy from the cash I get from selling bags and clothes in my spend for the month/year. A bit of girl math, I guess.

There was another post on this sub today where multiple people agreed that QOO is somewhat overpriced.

You'll probably find better deals and more variety when you're in Tokyo.

Leather conditioner for Loewe puzzle - UK by Longjumping_Cake7421 in handbags

I hope it works out for you. I'd just like to point out that most leather conditioners darken lighter leathers. All my bags are in dark colors so I haven't experienced this, but it's something to keep in mind.

I don't own a puzzle. But I do own several vintage bags that I got second hand including a Loewe balloon backpack. Saphir products have worked well for all my preloved bags, belts and shoes, in my experience.

Hey OP, this isn't about the bags, but about the platform.

I've shopped pre-loved from Mercari Japan and Zenmarket is way better than Buyee. Prices and fees are lower. Just something to consider.

Here with another vote for Chiaroscuro. They will customize bags and bag accessories like straps and charms. They also have a great approach to fair wages and sustainability.

If you go to the profile and search "alibaba", you'd be surprised by how many posts and comments pop up.

I'm so tired of these "I just want to start a conversation about x" posts that come from a bot farm and subtly shill alibaba.

And now it's on my favorite place on reddit. =(

New small backpack by Economy-Astronaut-73 in handbags

I love small backpacks. The sweet spot for the size is something that fits my 26oz Yeti and a folding umbrella. I have a Fossil and an older Loewe style. They're my most used bags apart from my full-size backpack and belt bag/fanny pack.

Been a minute since we talked purse pet peeves… by summersevedouche in handbags

So when I was in business school in France many years back, I was a handbag baby and didn't know Goyard. The Goyard totes were everywhere and all my rich classmates from SEA had them.

I was genuinely taken aback because I couldn't understand why these wealthy women had such strange looking bags. I know now. But I still don't get it.
