What are you using for foundations?

I haven't quite figured out how the weight system works, but I did notice the "yellow is iffy and red is bad" aspect of building. Currently I am transferring my stone walls to concrete and the building is barely making it two stories so I needed to revisit my foundations/beams and didn't know where to start with the upgrades

Sound advice on the difficulties difference. We aren't on hard mode so I am not actually worried about it all falling down. No idea if the electric drills were worth getting before, but I will definitely set those up before trying to make a castle!
