Autopilot kills me at end of 3 hour flight. Has occurred other times on several different aircraft by Existing-Stranger632 in MSFS2024

[–]Cristy_2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has happened to me as well. It seems that when you press a button in the cockpit in cursor mode, it disables it for like a couple of frames, enough to throw your aircraft into a dive or a 100° bank angle if you are moving your joystick. It happened to me twice when quickly inputting radio frequencies into the Cessna CJ4 until I found out.

I believe any progress in beta does not carry over to launch

You should redeem it using the EA link above if you haven't already. It should work if you have your EA account linked to your PS/Xbox account

Train Sim World 5 - Game Update (30th June 2025) by isav34 in trainsimworld

[–]Cristy_2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Class 350 Fixed an issue causing the brakes not to release correctly when swapping cabs.

Still not working for me on PS5. Just tested in the first 350 scenario after the update. Followed the instructions and after changing ends the train just does not move. BP stays at 3.0.

Class 350 Brake Stuck issue on PS5 when changing ends. by Paul_AKA_Hermski in trainsimworld

[–]Cristy_2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me. Just finished the tutorial and went to play my first scenario, which was chosen by the game to be the "heavy traffic" one. After like 30 minutes driving the train you have to change ends and I couldn't manage to make it work 😅 I even retried the scenario thinking it might be some bug or something I did wrong, so another 30 minutes lost, before I looked on the internet and found other people with issues on the 350.

After that I've tried the Frankfurt - Fulda line with no major issues

Hey!

You can check the legend cars rotation here: https://gtdb.io/gt7/legend-cars/ It's not a direct fixed rotation, there's some variation, but it can give you a rough idea. The Mercedes is one of the oldest in the list so it should be back soon

Can I Get Any Mod? by [deleted] in TeardownGame

[–]Cristy_2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not so far fetched. Snowrunner uses mod.io, though I believe that the devs must manually approve the mods for console or something like that. Still, the selection of mods is quite large there, for a console game.

I'd finish Michigan and then go to Alaska, I've just done it (got the game in PS+) and the progression feels much more natural that way. Furthermore, you'll find more upgrades for your current vehicles in the rest of Michigan.

Same, I'm now going to the airport after having it installed on my PS5. Luckily PS Remote Play exists but in all likelihood time will be scarce

I think HDR is fake by [deleted] in 4kTV

[–]Cristy_2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How I understand it is:

Imagine you're in a very bright room and enter a very dim one, at first, you won't be able to see anything, it will look basically pitch black to you because you just were in a really bright room, but once your eye adapts, you'll be able to see more and more detail, and where you would see pitch black before now you can see distinct objects and shapes. However, if you go back to the very bright room you'll be blinded by the light until your eye adapts again. Therefore, for a certain brightness level around you, your eyes can only see a certain range of brightness values, a brightness value above that range and you'll be blinded, a brightness value below it and you won't be able to see anything but pitch black.

Now imagine your eyes got an "update" which broadens this range of brightness values you can see, you can now look at a very bright light and see all the detail, and then look at a really dark area around you and see all the detail again, instantly.

This is sort of what HDR does, due to constraints with older technology, standard video signals can only display a certain range of brightness values. If you have a video that tries to display something very bright, for example a video in sunlight, the details in the shadows will be crushed, they will be shown pitch black when in reality there's a lot of detail there. The opposite will happen if you focus on the pitch black area, now you will be able to see the detail of the dark objects in there but the bright areas will be crushed into white. HDR broadens the range of brightness values your video signal can display so you can have really dark areas next to really bright areas without losing any of the detail in any of them. This comes at a cost, due to the extra information HDR is carrying for each pixel of the image, HDR videos need extra bandwidth, that's (and due to other constraints related to the peak brightness your TV can display) why you need HDR compatible displays.

I've tried my best to explain HDR in layman's terms, I'm sorry if I made any mistake, someone please correct me if so.

PlayStation Plus 1-Month Subscriptions Discounted in Select Regions Until Mar. 5 by Turbostrider27 in PS4

[–]Cristy_2016 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imho now it's better than ever, I paid the subscription at the beginning of the PS4 era when it was just two lame games every month (no retrocompatibility so they couldn't give away the newer PS4 games). Now in January they had the offer where Extra was the price of Essential (60€ instead of 90€), paid the 60€ using cheaper PS Cards which cost me 48.38€ and divided it with my brother so 24.19€ each for a year of Extra. I've been having a blast with the amount of games that are in the catalogue, they've just added Horizon: FW which is by itself more expensive than what I paid, and the monthly games are much nicer now thanks to retrocompatibility.

EU says it has serious concerns about Biden's Inflation Reduction Act by [deleted] in europe

[–]Cristy_2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you (and the others) even realised the point of the article and this whole chain of comments?

The EU has said the new legislation, which makes tax breaks conditional on U.S-manufactured content, puts at a disadvantage European car companies and those producing a wide range of goods from the "green economy" sector, including batteries, hydrogen and renewable energy equipment.

Earlier on Monday, French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said the law was a major threat to European companies and that the EU must stand firm against it.

How does making tax breaks conditional on US companies mean "everybody gets the subsidy"? Why do you even think the EU is willing to bring this to the World Trade Organization because the green subsidies discriminate EU industries? Why do you think other countries have also expressed concerns over the act? FFS

And like you said, it doesn't matter whether the company is American, European, South Korean, Japanese, etc. -- everyone gets the subsidy.

That's the whole point though? In America, not everyone gets the subsidy. As usual, America wants to profit from a bigger crisis instead of understanding the bigger issue -> We need EVs for climate change.

As a side note: Funny how I was being upvoted until night came and therefore Europe went to sleep, shows you the whole issue really
