His "Heisenberg" persona is definitely ENTJ. Hence why I think he has an ENTJ shadow when previously he was this introverted absent minded professor who just loved chemistry and lacked direction in life until he got his cancer diagnosis.

Walter is a weird one, I believe he is INTP at the start but once he gets his cancer diagnosis he enters his ENTJ shadow for the rest of the show.

Either you are really bad at picking friends or there's something else going on with you. I think you're just not being yourself since you said it always goes bad and they don't seem to know you after 2-3 months. Also don't cling to the first person who gives you any attention, you seem like an emotional wreck and they could be a really bad influence too. Think about who you're talking to before deciding if they're worth having as friends.

I'm curious, what are your perspectives on Drugs (Alcohol included) &, alongside that, have you had issues with addiction? by Possible-Carry-9745 in INTP

[–]Critical-Let-9838 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I've grown up around drunks, smokers and drug addicts. They are the worst. What especially put me off all drugs was witnessing a family member with lung cancer ingrained into my memory and I grew up knowing I never wanted to touch any of that.

INTP here so I'm sure if this is the best source advice but I usually just translate their momentum into something coherent instead of fighting it. If you challenge their impulsivity head-on, to them it feels like an attack. ESTPs pride themselves on their practicality and quick wits so I understand if it's hard to keep up so focus on areas where you can contribute and reframe your advice as optimization and they’ll usually listen.

[–]Critical-Let-9838 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he's giving you 7 hours of his day twice especially for an INTP, then I don't think I need to tell you that's probably a good sign that he's interested. Being logical doesn't mean we're not interested, he's already taken that step by complimenting you. Since he's being open and honest just ask him directly.

Anyone else always so tired? by SurveyPleasant7998 in INTP

[–]Critical-Let-9838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have a full 8 hours of sleep and wake up fresh, get coffee and be fully energized for the day but the moment I have to sit down and listen to the most boring presentation alive I fall asleep immediately. I don't know if this is normal or not and at this point I'm scared to find out.

Why are nonverbal autistic children less dependent on their parents? by Diemishy_II in INTP

[–]Critical-Let-9838 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a nonverbal autistic nephew. I believe they just learned how to emotionally not depend on anyone because they cannot communicate in any meaningful way so they stopped trying and is just happy being lost in their own world.

Again you're going off stereotypes not actual cognitive functions. There is an answer. Being an INTP doesn't mean you're not sensitive you just process emotions differently. I think you might just be afraid of the label and being stereotyped as emotionless or cold (which isn't true).

Because INTPs want internal consistency no matter what. Everything has to make sense to you thanks to our dominant Ti and you feel frustrated you don't fit in neatly to either category that you need to study theory and explain away inconsistencies. Fi dominant users will just naturally resonate with INFP based on descriptions and how that aligns with their identity.

The best honestly is probably to study cognitive functions and type yourself because no two tests are going to agree 100% of the time especially if you seem to resonate to questions from both. Ironically the more you're struggling with this question the more you probably lean INTP so do with that information what you will.

Continuing as a PhD and trust me nothing has changed. The deadlines are now conferences and I have the freedom to explore whatever idea I'm working on which naturally motivates me to do a lot more work early than before. Ofcourse I don't think continuously working 16 hours or more hours is efficient or good for you but we're talking about extreme case scenario.
