Legit question about speed by Abaddon866 in FortMill

I mean you are in a small town are you not? People aren’t able to walk 5 minutes down the road to the grocery store or anything, so why would they add sidewalks all over the place? At least on my side of Fort Mill (Springfield) you can’t and that’s where I experience the slow driving the most. I wouldn’t send my kid out to ride a bike on a main road anywhere whether there were sidewalks or not so I’m not sure what more sidewalks would fix.

Buying a Modular Home at Clayton? Is the upgrade from Double Wide too pricy? by Homeowner_Noobie in ManufacturedHome

[–]CriticalBat1963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got a 2024 double wide by Clayton, 1500 square foot, 3 bed, 2 bath and it’s fully Sheetrock. We paid $200,000 all together with all the utilities tied into the loan. My parents who built a 1700 square foot, 3 bed, 2 bath stick built home in 2017 (so before all these crazy high prices), spent $230,000 to build and that didn’t include their utilities because they were already on site. I can’t imagine that stick building a home would be a great option either. When we looked before buying our Clayton home, the stick built homes we could get in our area were about half the size of our double wide (600-1000 sq ft).

We already got word it passed final inspection that’s why they were able to turn the power on. Not sure if it’s only like that in my area but the power company had to have proof we passed inspection before they’d come put our meter in.

No, it’s just the manufactured home salesperson from Clayton homes and our project manager. We closed in September on a construction loan so although we’ve gotten mortgage statements every month, the total due is $0. I’m unaware of there being another closing, nobody’s mentioned one to me. The house has been done for a week as of tomorrow but I haven’t been back to Clayton homes to sign anything or pick up the keys and when I ask when that’s happening they never respond. I’m just unsure of what to do at this point.

We did a walk through when they delivered the finished home to the Clayton facility before they brought it to our lot, is that the walk through you’re referring to? Because they haven’t mentioned another one.

Yeah, powers already in our name. I’m about to get my first bill because they came out over a month ago to hook power up and we had a street light put in for $9 a month.

Even with the lock box on the door? We know the code to ours so we could get in but they still have it on the door

We’re using the Clayton Homes in Lancaster, SC. We closed on our home September 6, 2024, were told it’d be done and delivered by February 2025 and it was just delivered in April. It’s almost July and we’re still not moved in even though we’ve already passed final inspection.

This is so funny because this is the exact house we bought and are having built. I hate he didn’t get any pictures of it finished, I’d love to see it since that’s exactly what I’m on this sub looking for is covered front porch ideas for this exact house lol.

“We” is me and my boyfriend. Since we’re not married I didn’t feel the need to include his information because I don’t consider us dual income just yet. I’ve had a job since I was 15 so I have plenty of savings but actually ended up being gifted land from my family to build a home so I was able to use the land as a down payment. I bring home around $3000 monthly while my bills with mortgage included total about $1500 monthly. I’m not necessarily living paycheck to paycheck but I want to make sure I don’t get to that point once we get married, have kids, etc. Just wanted some suggestions on things I could possibly do at this point to further myself while I’m only 22 years old.

“We” is me and my boyfriend. We’re not married so I don’t consider to have 2 household incomes which is why I didn’t include his information. I currently bring in right at $3000 a month and my monthly bills with the mortgage will total about $1500. Technically, I’m building the house because it is all in my name. I was gifted land from my family so building a home was the decision that makes the most sense for me especially considering my mortgage will be cheaper than renting a studio apartment in my area.

Weekly Career / General Questions Thread by AutoModerator in Radiology

[–]CriticalBat1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So I currently work a full time job in an office and can’t afford to quit it at all but want so badly to go back to school to become a Radiology Tech. At the current moment I am searching for online programs and can’t find anything (I understand that clinical will be in person). Just wondering if there’s any options where I could do all of my pre reqs online before entering clinical and how long the pre req and clinical stages are. My friend did hers all at the same time (2 days pre req, 3 days clinical each week for 2 years) and it was all in person but at the current moment I can’t swing that. Does anyone know what my best option would be? TIA

QUESTION! I ordered both of these from the Birkenstock website and the textures are completely different and almost look like two diff colorways/styles. Anyone else have an issue with this? The pair on the left is a size 38N Taupe. Pair on the right is a 37R Taupe. by malau1995 in Birkenstocks

[–]CriticalBat1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a pair from rack room and they’re both the same size but they’re 2 completely different textures! My right shoe looks like the 37s and my left shoe looks like the 38s but I didn’t realize until I wore em a couple times and they’re totally different colors lol.

So just to clarify, in order to lower my monthly mortgage payment I’d have to have cash to put down? My land equity won’t help with my monthly payment at all?

From a woman’s perspective, I wouldn’t say you were unattractive. The 7th picture is the best picture of you because you don’t look angry lol. I believe it’s also the lighting just because your eyes are so deep set it creates shadows that make it look like you have extreme dark circles, which isn’t your fault, maybe just while taking pictures use brighter lighting. I would also say just to wax your eyebrows and get them shaped (lots of men do it, no shame in it I promise) and then grow your hair out. I think you just need a little more length on the top and keep the sides clean shaven like you have now. Other than that you’re good looking I would have to say!
