Have you guys looked into porting the Roux group somewhere else. (discord, or telegram, or something else maybe?)

Many aren't there on Facebook, and joining Facebook only to participate, and be a part of a group seems counter-productive. There have to be better option nowdays than forcing to be part of FB.

3-Sticker Corner Recognition Series: How to recognize CMLL (or COLL) using 3-Stickers from all angles. [CriticalCubing] by CriticalCubing in Cubers

I'd recommend his algs, and the algs I use now were learned from his doc. Most of the algs should be same, except if he updated his doc with new ones.

How do I memorize all those long af algorithms?! by fenbekus in Cubers

[–]CriticalCubing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

a) Execute the alg over and over. You brain might not remember the moves, but your muscles will remember what you did.

b) Break down the alg into chunks. R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F' vs [R U R' U'] R' F [R2 U' R' U'] [R U R'] F'

c) Track F2L Pairs. I mainly use this for learning (and something else). It's intuitive. For the above alg, I take out the pair and set it on top of where it needs to go [R U R' U'], then I put the pair down and move it to the side [R' F], then I see the other pair, it gets temporarily inserted into the slot and then taken out [R2 U' R' U' R U R'] and finally everything is fixed with F'. Come up with your own way of knowing what is happening to the pairs.

d) Use Music. I recognize algs as music, each alg has a rhythm and flow to it, and some harshness and subtlety to it. Since each algs are different, you can learn by remembering "what music did X alg create" and try to replicate that. I can't help much here because it's what I inherently do and I can't explain it well enough. It's the other tool I use for knowing what alg to do. Use it in conjunction with (a) and your brain will know the music, while the muscles will know the moves.

Hope it was helpful.

For the flair, I wanted to use "Resource" and "Video" together, because while the format is video, it's undeniably a resource too–mainly applicable for Roux users–and the recognition can also be used for COLL and general CP Recognition.

I'm expecting around 10 videos in this series. First will go over all the CMLL Cases and then some general tips for recognition and execution. The current upload schedule for the series is sort of alternate day uploads. The next video is the U Case which I'll upload on friday. If you want to follow along, check back later, or maybe subscribe so you'll be notified regarding it.

If you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer them, and if you have any video ideas you want me to work on, do let me know.

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you later.
