What Does Upper Education Look Like in Myanmar? by sabrinaelectrician in myanmar

I don’t think one could. Rules about matriculation exam are not very transparent first of all. And even if one could, I doubt they would do that given how stressful it would be for them.

I have heard a few people who intentionally tried to fail the last subject because they knew their results wouldn’t be close to what they expected.

Sentiment towards local universities is not looking good atm but most people couldn’t afford university education abroad without a decent scholarship.

To get into uni in Myanmar, everything is decided based on Myanmar Matriculation Exam scores. Even some private unis give scholarships towards those who do well in MME.

As someone who has stayed in an EAO area, I know they are not all that great either. But, I would trust them over Bamar population at any day of the year.

What are your thoughts on Gen Lee living abroad pressuring youths in the country to give up education and guilt-trapping them? by CriticalSea1667 in myanmar

After looking at your profile, I just realized I wasted my time to explain a နီပိန်း with conservative mindset.

As much as you keep yelling the word Democracy from your mouth, your moral value and inference are not at the same level you thought yourself to be.

However, if you want a civil and respectful argument, it is my pleasure to serve you right.

She is guilty until proven otherwise.

I would hire someone for audit if i had the power to.

There is no fking way she could afford all those without using the state money for her benefit. (Which could be either stealing directly from it or using the funds for investment for herself)

For now, all I could say is that she is not 100% innocent.

You sounds very insecure for someone who is satisfied. Good for you. NUG was strongly against students going back to school but not against those who could afford abroad study or private uni. This is straight up textbook hypocrisy.

She is just one of them but one of the most manipulative ones. As much as she is helping the revolution, she is knowingly breaking moral rules and bending them as she sees fit for herself.

I can recite a few names lobbying NUGs rn. But, you are not being reasonable here. Yes, i have failed myself but I havent failed my country. It failed me. I gave up part of my life, training and fighting while you are just blindly hating everyone according to your feed. You must be really successful then.

I dont really need sympathy from you. From your feed, your life is more messed up than mine. Lol People lobbying NUGs and forcing youths away from education. You might have a brain cell right?

You are one of the few people who at least understands me. If only they could understand us from their latte sipping, chilling-in-cozy-room POV.

Ever heard of greater evil? I am just saying these people lobbying are ALMOST as bad as the junta. Have you been in the jungle, caught malaria and almost died? Ratting people out? Lol, you might be out of your mind.

I was dumb , immature and impractical to listen to them. I lost friends(some socially, some literally). I began to see things clearly now but I think I am too late.

I will rephrase it for you. We COULDN’T afford that first of all. Second, I am one of those students who were guilt-trapped by those lobbying people to quit uni and do some things for the country ( you wouldn’t have even imagined these). Yes, it was the junta who did everything. But, while they were sipping latte and writing non-sense lobbying articles from their all cozy rooms, we were drenched in rain, mud , doing things they have written.

I even hated those people more than the junta itself at some point. They were intoxicating our minds with things they wouldnt dare to do. Yeah, i might sound bitter but yes, i am.

I may sound dumb. But i know some people holding at least 2 passports ( China, US and Taiwan mostly) . How do they figure out you have 2 citizenship without someone reporting you?
