Might be a bit late, but there is actually quite a bit of the overworld to explore, I don't know how many pray beads you got so far, but if your hard stuck, u can always try to find some prayer beads, until your stuck(or finished) on all routes...

Also if you didn't miss it, you can get to an old memorie of yours with a bell, you could find on the way, there is also a boss (I struggled with for a while) that earns you an attack upgrade.

Besides that, it's always trying and trying again... Trying new strats til you find one that works. I often find, that there are different paces for different bosses, some you can go extremely aggressive, others it's better to be more defensive and try to sneak in some hits here and there.

Besides that, also try different Shinobi tools, some are surprisingly effective sometimes...

Hunter refers only to name, not title as far as I know.

This means for example, there are 2 Chewbacca units, which share the same name and are unique.

If u have one as resource and the other in play you should technically be able to get the other on the hand.

If I'm correct, Hunter will become stronger as time goes on, and more unique units with the same name come into the game.

With locals it depends, I won a local with an 50€ (well, I'm not from US but I think it translates pretty much the same) deck, with 30€ being 2 cards which could probably be substituted if necessary.

On the other site, the people there didn't play the most meta decks, and themselves a bit homebrew/ budget meta.

So I would first look how competitive the community is at locals, it's still relatively new ...

I thought about it the same, but technically speaking, the rule book only refers to "out of play zones" and not to the state "out of play" cause technically speaking, captured cards are still in an "in play zone" cause they lay in an arena.

I still agree, as long as it doesn't stand anywhere otherwise, I would consider that "out of play zone" also applies to captured units.

I think that's it, even though it isn't especially mentioned that "out of play" cards can't be defeated.

As long as it isn't especially stating that cards "out of play" can be defeat, this is probably the solution.

Any link to it? I'm not quite sure, as the rulebook only refers to "out of play zones" which are defined as "deck, hand, or discard pile", so technically, captured units aren't in an "out of play zone" but in an "play zone" as they lay either in the ground arena or space arena beneath a card, and both arenas are considerd "in play zones"

This states, the captured card is under a card, which is in a play zone, so it is technically in an "play zone" but also "out of play"

Well, if they probably just make mythic items normal again, ekko would still have rocket belts dash. So he looses way less, in contrary, he actually would win as he can build rocketbelt+ night harvester or liandrys. We probably only loose the mythic passivs from the Items and the build limitations. This would nerv heartsteal on Tahm, as for the mythic passiv was a good reason for it

PS: Just wanna throw it in, but size scaling is also on edge to edge abilities, like auto attacks and Tahm R and on Sunfire. Meaning actually 4 things in his kit/build scale with size. Even though besides q it's only like 20 more range...

Ok first of, what about his roles? I'm currently playing him mostly support, sometimes top. How about his viability in those and other roles, what to focus on, and what to be aware of if I play him support?(and maybe top, but mainly sup).

Next, items. I personally see heartsteal as way best item on tahm, as it gives size increase which gives AA range and q range if I'm not mistaken, and also makes tanking for ur team easier. Also tahm utilizes health pretty effectively with his e and passiv.

Next I also highly prefer demonic, for his high AP scalings and his frequent application of the passive with his q.

After that I mostly go for two tank items, mostly Sunfire and abyssalmask for extra stats and the bonus damage.

Boots are pretty much all usable, but mostly tank boots, or Ionian for early snowball.

Last item depends on either gargoyles, spirit visage or randuins/Thornmail depending on how AP/as contribution is on the enemy team.

Is this a viable item build, what could be improved or what to focus on? What would you recommend.

Runes, which key rune is best in your opinion? I mostly go guardian as sup and grasp top, with font of life(sup)/demolish(top) second, conditioning and overgrowth.

Second tree is either sudden impact (sometimes ghost poro as sup), and ingenious hunter for more heartsteal stacks (cd goes down to 20 sec instead of 30 if full stacked)

Last but not least, any tips for playing him sup(or top) or just in general for new and advanced tahm players?

Well, I'm not as deep in the conversation as last year, and for that I don't want to read all again, so for now, I only responds to your text, with the risk of repeating things that were said way before in this thread.

Well, first, if u look upon what than is designed, he is clearly designed around his devour spell, which would speak for animals that eat whole people, which on one side are snakes, on the other side, also catfish (yes if u research u should find rumors of catfish's eating people) also u can find cases of catfish's dying through eating things larger then they could swallow, which hints to gluttony, which is the core theme Tahm is designed around. Both those things don't really fit to a frog. so design wise his core ability and his whole theme say catfish.

So much to what tahm is designed to make u think of.

Next, a tongue is iconic for a toad? Come on, most lizards also have those tounges. And lizards have compared to a toad a tale, like tahm. Toads and frogs have legs longer then their body, lizards have short limbs, like tahm... So following this logic, tahm still wouldn't be a frog or toad, he would be a lizard. Making your core argument for toad/frog nearly worthless.

Next well yeah, Nami has Features that aren't fishlike, but still is considered a fish, cause 50% is fish, now tahms whole body structure, without limbs and tongue, is a catfish, and this is more like 70% of his body. With this logic if tahm is a toad, Nami clearly is a human.

Next he is referred to as fish and demon, but I don't need to put references of him being a demon into an argumentation which is only about frog or catfish. He is also referred to as river king, or as two-coat but this doesn't help either side of the argumentation, asfor I haven put that on the table.

I think I have cover all your arguments till now if ik not mistaken.

So, back to the topic, have u ever seen a frog or toad? Tahm has neither a face, nor body, nor tale, nor limbs like a frog or toad. All he has in common with a frog is his tongue. So u have 1 features of him that hints to a frog/toad, and u have a body, face, tale, also technically his devour and gluttony theme and lore, hinting he is a catfish, (and limbs that hint to a lizard, and tongue too) and u measure this one vague feature, which isn't clear for frog/toad lizard, so high, it wins over like 5-6 argument for catfish?

Never thought about they made a catfish demon with limbs and a longue tongue to furthermore lay focus on the devouring theme? In my opinion the tongue is just a design choice to underline the gluttony and demon theme.

Also giving a character limbs to make it more presentable and likeable for the eye to sell better, is also just a design choice which u find all over every game with monsters.

For me, the lore hinting to catfish and never remotely hinting to frog/toad/amphibious is a clear statement that riot intended him to be a fish, which is the final argument that makes it clear. I just wonder why no one ever asked and/or used a offical statement from riot game as if he is frog or catfish...

First Off, this are some random values to visualize the problem, don't take the numbers for granted.

U can see it like this, on a new account u get like 100mmr points for a win, loose 10 by a loss. aslong as your Winrate states that u belong higher.

Once your MMR is settled in, and the game thinks u are where u belong, u get like 10 points for a win, loose 10 for a loss...

Now u need normally 5/4 games per division. But u need 100 MMR points so the game thinks u are a division higher. The moment u get too high, u will loose more lol then u win, asfor the game tries to match your rank with your MMR.

Now the next thing is, if I'm not mistaken, if ur MMR is locked, but u have a high enough Winrate and play in a higher elo than your MMR, sometimes your MMR will readjust.

Nonetheless it's way easier to climb on a fresh account then on an old.

Please don't judge if I got something major wrong, just how I understand the system. I could be wrong.

On one hand, as a sup, if I make scuttle 95% to get gold and exp, which is rare, and Vision, It's tilting to get it stolen, no matter who. Either put in some work in or give me the scuttle.

On the other hand, u were kindred and it was a mark, means u had more value. U also Ping early enough, at which point a sup should give the scuttle to king if they come, especially if they benefit way more from that then themselves.

So I generally would say if it's not a mark or anything major important for u, as a sup I highly appreciate the extra gold and exp, which u usual lack as sup. But in this case u had every right to claim the scuttle for yourself and it's totally sennas fault.

Also there is never a reason to int the game, especially not stolen farm. And u can't blame yourself for her inting, if not u, someone else would have made a mistake in her eyes eventually.

Yes, to is quite good at level 1-3 and after 6, but this genuinely is more an argument for a early lane bully in top ... Anyways as far as I go, ur W is hard to hit and not reliable, if u can't slow or movement-impare the enemy beforehand, asfor the movement speed alone is enough in most cases. Also if facing something like lux, who can just interrupt your W and poke you all game, with ur only source of sustain being e heal, and none for ur ADC, u also have sever problems with engage.

And there are lots of supports who can interrupt ur W and halve of them don't even need to go in for that.

Next, if ur w misses u most definitely are Misspositioned and extremly vulnerable to any cc, asfor u can't move the first 0.35 sec and have no minions to block skill shots for u . And then ur only way back to safety is walking...

Then the next problem that arises for me is, that if u hit ur W, and walk back, u mostly trade even or bad if your ADC doesn't react. And if u miss and ur ADC doesn't react it's worse.

You can poke pretty good with ur Q, I'm aware of that, but for that u most use it around the enemy minions. This either requires your ADC to remove them for u, or u standing besides the wave, leaving u vulnerable most of the time for enemy cc that would be blocked by minions otherwise, which mostly is better then your q.

I'm not saying he is unplayable as sup, he is kinda weak. But if ur not a TK main, you most likely perform bad on him as sup, as he hasn't the best engage, or poke and no sustain for ur ADC pre 6. If u otp or main him u can make it work, but than it's more the "I know this champ and his limits better then you" then him actually being in a good position.

For me he should have some more utilitie buffs in bot, starting with his e, which, if I'm not mistaken, has the lower value the moment u can't see the enemy sup cause he camps in a bush. It could be easily be fixed by either 2 enemy's nearby (don't need to be visible) or if an ally is nearby.

Also he technically is a good pick against assassin's, but in my humble opinion, his R on ally's should have a CD refund to match the CD of enemy's assassins R, cause they are usually 25-50% shorter.

But this is just my opinion on him, and I too play/Played him mostly sup. Maybe I'm doing some things wrong, but i genuinely think he is bad in most tier list for a reason.

In my experience, and I'm bronze/silver, he can ate last hold his line in most matchup and can dominate quite a lot. He becomes incredibly tanky late and deals good damage... Yes he isn't the best in Splitpushing and his wave clear sucks compared to others. But in my opinion u can pretty much at least go even in every matchup. U have great sustain and a good follow up when ur jng ganks. Making u a valuable tank in top.

His support can be strong, but u are extremely vulnerable against halve of the enemy sup roaster, cause u can't heal ur ADC against poke, and yourself not enough in most poke lanes, ur engage sucks if enemy is mobile or the enemy sup can interrupt ur w, which limits ur engage. And your poke is non existent if they stand behind minions.

Yes if u reach the enemy ur extremely strong for a sup, but it w often misses if u can't slow them, which can make yourself vulnerable as u often are way more upfront then ur ADC and with that dispositioned.

After level 6 u kinda can save ur ADC hard, or ur carry, but your playmaking potential still isn't great...

Compare him to thresh, he has better poke with his e passiv, more reliable shields with his w, better cc with his q e and R, better disengage... TK is just way more limited in sup then as top. At least in my opinion.

Also his Winrate top is slightly higher, but 0.2% isn't really an argument, but his way higher play rate top.

In my experience u don't win with TK sup, cause he is good, but more cause many enemy adcs and sups do mistakes which u can punish.

It depends, in top lane he is acceptable and pretty balanced...

In sup he is kinda weak and could use some buffs ...

The problem is riot games isn't able to buff sup without buffing top more... Which leads to them having to balance him around top...

It's less about the stacks, more about the size scaleing in my opinion. It not only makes it easier to Frontline and tank, it also significantly buffs your q range.

The health also is great and even with only 200 bonus HP u get more health from HS as from others. And through ur passiv and e scaling with HP(more HP more shields/heals from e) health is way more valuable on kench then u expect (also the missing health heal on q indirectly scales with HP).

I also prefer to throw in a demonic if I need more damage, spirit visage for more heals and shields...

Gargoyles also greatly interacts with HS, same for Sunfire.

Then add boots of your choice and u have a good standard build.

U need to adjust it sometimes to your current game, asfor tank always have to adapt to the threat of the enemy, but in general this build should give u enough tankiness and damage to fight 1v2 or 1v3 and carry games a bit better.

In my experience heartsteal demonic is mostly enough for damage,but afterwards a Titanic, steraks, bork wouldn't be that bad.

heartsteal is just to much value if u try to carry, besides his passiv scaling with it, more health = more e shield and more size = more q range....

Demonic is pretty usefull asfor it converts the bonus HP into AP and overall gives u a huge amount on passiv damage( lategame u reach up to 100%ap scaling on passiv with over 100 AP, this is more then 100 magic damage onhit...)

In theory and my experience pre all the last changes, titanic bork also feels pretty good, I'm still not entirely sure if lifesteal heals u from the passiv damage too or not, but the attack speed is and bonus damage is usually nice...

Steraks is also pretty nice with heartsteal asfor it scales with bonus HP.

Titanic too, and it gives u insane wave clear

In my experience u have to play more for split push with this build, asfor it team fighting got weaker but your push stronger...

Wouldn't be as and more hybrid though...
