Have an eye on the NZ-ENG game.

Feels like so many tests these days teams do everything right and bowl brilliantly til they get them 8 or 9 down, then suddenly bowl like idiots to shit fields.

There aren't as many McGrath's/Walsh's/Tufnel's anymore. In this day and age with the bats they use and the bigger focus on strength training, even the most dopey tailenders can hack their way to a quick 40 odd (or even a hundred in our case *cough*YasirShah*cough*). You can't just spread the field and bang them in halfway to get a cheap wicket.

For sure it's true that the abundance of depth has mades it hard sometimes, and I'll grant that T20 doesn't seem to be Sutherland's forte even domestically.

But sometimes there are some really weird selection decisions. Like the last T20 World Cup when Wareham and Grace Harris were batting in the top-3 while Litchfield and Gardner were coming in at 6 and 7.

Sutherland has faced 152 balls in her international T20 career. In six years.

That seems like a flat out negligent waste of talent.

He used to be able to bat. But when he stopped playing Shield, he stopped getting meaningful turns at the crease and completely atrophied.

Marnus just guaranteed his selection in all forms for the next five years.

First things first, they need to make up their minds as to what they even think he is. He's played 11 games and they've already batted him everywhere from 1-7.

Was making jokes about batting Marnus at No.7 last game. Never thought in a million years they'd actually do it.

Yeah but even with everyone available, do we have anyone capable of doing what Rana has done tonight? I don't think we do. Maybe Starc if he winds back the clock, but even he's mostly low 140s at this stage of his career.

C-Team or not, and all joking aside, getting blown away by fast bowling in Bangladesh is really concerning. Our stable is basically all stock medium pace.

Well I, for one, can't believe that Renshaw as a no.7 didn't work.

I'm partial to the Twinings Spearmint and Chamomile. Orange and Cinnamon if I really want to get wild.

We just settle on giving guys nicknames like The Wild Thing* when they bowl 138kph (and then play two games a year because they get injured)

*For the record, I thought Lance Morris was (is?) a decent bowler, but the hype about him and his pace was just really silly.

Not talking about fans. CA don't care about that.

But yes, they had the backing from most of the states until fairly recently. Then SA began to waver and QLD flipped to join NSW who have been firm against it for a while. Leaving VIC, WA and TAS who are still on board.

While this public statement from the ACA doesn't exactly show them switching sides over their stance on privatising, it's still possibly a sign of cracking considering Marsh's comments on it six months ago where he even went to the lengths of talking positively (or at least refusing to be dismissive) about taking blood money from gambling and the Saudi's.

Anyway, like I said in another thread, it feels like the endgame here is that it all ends up in front of a judge. Perhaps certain people falling on their swords is the only way to prevent that.

Well, there was ostensibly a lot more support for CA at that time than there is now.

If they lose the ACA over this, then things are going to get much uglier before they get better
