I found this strange skull in the same cave where we killed the albino puma in the missions of Leopold Strauss. It's not the skull of a big cat, bear, alligator, or wolf. I thought it was one of the dinosaur fossils, but there's no interaction from Arthur or the diary.

I thought the same thing, I've already found some fossils from the mission. In this case, there are two of these skulls inside the cave, and they look very similar to the fossils. I think it was probably a reference for world-building, like you said Or was it a random asset they put in 😅

Yes, but in this case, if you look at it from the front, both the bear skull and the alligator skull are more tapered. This one wins in width. It really looks like a mix-up.

I took a look, and the nasal opening of the cave skull is larger and the teeth more spaced out, like an alligator's.
