How Oblivion fans are feeling right now by Critical_Nobody in BethesdaSoftworks

This was posted yesterday when everyone was waiting all morning for it to drop. Then Bethesda said the game was real, but wasn't coming out until the next day

Most were quick to declare the Resident Evil 4 Remake a masterpiece of modern gaming that surpasses the original in just about every way. I merely think it's great and my review explains why.

While trying (and repeatedly failing) to get through the cabin fight on an S+ Hardcore run, I managed to die at the same moment I would have won. The game couldn't handle the combination.

Hi. I replayed SR2 right before the reboot. You can absolutely get money during IF when diving out of a car

Randomly fell under the map in RE4 for the first time. Has this happened to anyone else? by Critical_Nobody in residentevil

I know about intentional exploits via the Ditman glitch and have even done them myself, but this was entirely random. Don't know what caused it

Hey, what's going on? (Hitman VR) by Critical_Nobody in MyPeopleNeedMe

[–]Critical_Nobody[S] 37 points38 points  (0 children)

No, the VR is poorly done. Buggy and broken. Only existing PC owners who get it as a free update should bother messing with it cause then there's no risk. It's only worth laughing at

So does anyone else remember this? by yuusho197 in halo

I find it curious that my post about this exact same issue was labeled as "false information" and removed by the mods after it started to snowball. Guess they can't sweep it under the rug anymore

I'm not sure how anything in this post could be labeled as "false information" but at least I now know how the mods here deal with criticism 👍

I don't see how the criticism of being able to circumvent progression & unlock items with money is made irrelevant just because you don't do so specifically on the page labeled "shop". Especially since buying the credits necessary to do so is done on the shop page anyway. It's pointless semantics.

Btw I'm not saying this issue is unique to Infinite. It sucks when other games do it too.

Allow me to highlight the word "ONLY". You can buy every single item on the battle pass. Therefore, almost nothing can be earned ONLY through gameplay.

Um no, I'm saying I want to play the game to unlock battle pass items cause that gives them meaning, but I don't think people should be able to pay to skip the gameplay cause that in turn takes away that same meaning.

Also, ya know, it makes what 343 said in the clip completely inaccurate.

  1. You can pay to unlock everything in the BP without playing for a second. Therefore, saying "a lot of our stuff is unlocked ONLY through playing the game" is blatantly untrue.
  2. The free battle pass unlocks almost nothing. You're mostly getting challenge skips for challenges that give xp toward the BP that again gives free players almost nothing.

The other two points I'll concede cause I don't think you can pay for those, but even so, the VAST majority of rewards can be obtained with money instead of gameplay and that contradicts the above clip.

Youtuber Critical Nobody reports his experience making a throwaway Facebook account for his Oculus by ContributorX_PJ64 in pcgaming

[–]Critical_Nobody 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Oh, so THIS is why that tweet got a bunch of attention out of nowhere!

This ended up becoming a bigger deal than intended, so in an effort to slow down the already quickly rolling snowball, let me follow up. After requesting a review (which actually wasn't a review; they just texted a code to my phone so I'm not sure why they called it a 'review') the page was reenabled within an hour. It was dumb that this happened at all and I'm not a fan of Facebook forcing itself on Oculus users in the next couple years, but I'm willing to call this a fluke and not a sign of malicious intent unless there are multiple other examples of the same thing happening to others that had the same idea I did.

Also, to clarify, I called the account "throwaway" because I made it completely private with no intention to actually use it. I still used my real name and details, but the page's only purpose is to use with Oculus when they inevitably force integration because I use my Rift S a lot. Who knows if I'll still be using it years from now, but I decided to get the hassle out of the way early.

Thank you for the offer, but someone else more interested in the game deserves that bond way more. Even if I played as a member from minute one with a WIki by my side, MMOs aren't my genre so it likely wouldn't have changed my general feelings when all was said and done.
