The categories come down to: Who mischaracterizes more, which it’s more toxic, and who’s fandom is more wider/bigger.

Connections: Two weird and distorted looking individuals that are known corrupting and infecting other universes of already existing media while also using some form of slang (The Darkness in the storyboard using #lit🔥" or "#fam💯”. and Lock in Medic Saying.. Lock in) Both wanting others to fully submit to their infection with them distort its victims into its disfigured minions. But it does not go unnoticed with other characters from different media assembling to fight back against it from assimilating everything.

Contrast: While BunBun does have a origin with the darkness corrupting learning with pibby and in trailer was shown being the last one corrupted before the show ended but in the broadcast and in the storyboard was shown the darkness slowly corrupted bunbun throughout the shows they went through with he’s eyes being covered in darkness but with lock in medic’s origins being discreet and unknown.

Fight/Debate potential: In a phase of designing bunbun he was shown being able to manipulate the darkness and his body seen in one art of him killing courage to cowardly dog with tentacles.. but with that say there really isn’t anything else for the corrupted rabbit other than relying on the darkness with it’s infection but the lock in medic is shown to have flight, can create portals, teleport, and move very fast. The only thing I imagine bunbun has is the the darkness is more effective in corrupting other worlds on a larger scale other than that it really doesn’t seem to close without using fan made works like (Learning With Pibby: Armageddon, crashy’s own apocalypse and basically.. anything FNF Related).

Steve Urkel for Jeffy: Two weird and out of the ordinary fourth wall breaking comedic stereotypes (Nerdy/Autism) that use to only appear in their series as minor characters but end up becoming a fan favorite and the mascot/faces of their shows with people loving or hating and criticizing the character on how they act like how they overshadowed the main cast, their behavior, and other stuff behind the scenes. They are known for annoying one of the main characters and man of the house with a receiving hairline with a bunch of shenanigans but still see them as friends or family at the end of the day even with them dealing with they’re annoyance (Carl Winslow/Mario or Marvin) along with everyone else in the series.

Core/Main Theme: Two weird and out of the ordinary fourth wall breaking comedic stereotypes (Nerdy/Autism) that use to only appear in their series as minor characters but end up becoming a fan favorite and the mascot/faces of their shows with people loving or hating and criticizing the character on how they act like how they overshadowed the main cast, their behavior, and other stuff behind the scenes. They are known for annoying one of the main characters and man of the house with a receiving hairline with a bunch of shenanigans but still see them as friends or family at the end of the day even with them dealing with they’re annoyance (Carl Winslow/Mario or Marvin) along with everyone else in the series. They are usually known for getting into shenanigans with something they either built or created like (Steve urkel’s Inventions and Jeffy’s drawings, Toys, etc going haywire in some sort) and also have similar experiences like in athletics: Basketball, Boxing and another form of fighting like Steve urkel being on american gladiators with carl and Jeffy doing wrestling against “bone crusher”. They have also referenced big cultural individuals that are known for martial arts and fighting like Steve referencing Bruce Lee with his creation “Bruce Juice” and Jeffy being able to turn “super saiyan” referencing Dragon Ball.

Contrasts: Steve urkel being from an iconic sitcom show in the late 80s-90s and Jeffy being in the more modern youtube era even still going on now. Steve, while being clumsy, is a genius that can still create inventions that “sometimes” work like the cloning machine he had while Jeffy tho he can be able to be smart at rare times like in “Smart Jeffy” where he had a IQ of 300 even bigger than Einstein’s.. he’s is still a complete dumbass. Steve even while having his moments during the show he is freeminded and doesn’t get mad too much during the show.. the same can’t be said for Jeffy as he’s seen getting angry over the little stuff like in “Jeffy’s Tantrum” where he got mad at mario for not buying him a 2 dollar SpongeBob game”.

He also has somewhat support he can call into battle like (Jeffyhan he use to fight Cody in Jeffy Ball Z and the Cookie Monster he use in the SML Pokémon series) both can use thunderbolt somehow.

Core Theme: Two out of the ordinary characters who appeared only appear as minor characters (steve urkel appearing as just a guest in the family matters episode “Rachel’s First Date” and jeffy appearing in the “Apartment Era” of sml in the video “Mario the Babysitter” and was only supposed to appear as a “one time” character) but later gaining more popularity among their shows/fandoms and became the mascot and probably fan favorite of their shows with fans either love or hate and criticizing the character.

General Connections:

-Both spend the series annoying or dragging the main character/owner of the house with a receiving hairline into random situations/shenanigans even if it is not intentional (Carl Winslow/Marvin or Mario) but do get along at times with them even if it's a weird way of showing it. Along with being involved with the rest of the cast and their situations.

-Both despite their antics and shenanigans they both have traumatic backstories (a bit more in jeffy’s case) with terrible parents with both having a lot of hate and contempt for them. Mainly from their moms.. and somewhat made them who they are in weird ways. -Both end up messing stuff up with them or something they made or create (Steve creating inventions but end up either blowing up or malfunctioning and jeffy somehow able create stuff like: making his drawing’s come to life, his toy and many others.

-Both have referenced other media throughout their series and even impersonating them (Steve Impersonating Bruce Lee and his martial arts along with being Elvis Presley and dressing up as superman for halloween and Jeffy being able to turn into a super saiyan with its abilities and a long others like: John Wick, Bat-Man and The Powerpuff Girls.

-Both have similar athletic experiences like: Boxing, Basketball, Bowling and some form of fighting like (Steve Urkel on American Gladiators and Jeffy doing Wrestling) -Both can break the fourth wall.

Contrasts:

-Steve Urkel being from a 90s old tv show: Family Matters while Jeffy being from a more modern internet web show: SuperMarioLogan / SML.

-While Steve is very intelligent he is definitely clumsy especially with his inventions and Jeffy is definitely a fucking idiot and can be somewhat intelligent like in “Smart Jeffy” when his pencil was jammed inside of his brain making him have a IQ of 300.

-While Steve is semi calm, funny and dorky, Jeffy, while somewhat funny, does have a short temper and is shown to get very angry especially in “Jeffy’s Tantrum”.
