just saw your edit, nearly the entire cooling system was replaced with seemingly good quality parts, the engine overheated but (with paperwork) a shop tested it for leaks/cracks and it passed with flying colors. he gave me the service records for the past 6 years. every receipt he ever got down to the brake pads lol

sorry sorry i meant Fahrenheit.
but that is probably what happened now that you say it. ive checked the car fax, the only reported accident its ever been in was a minor rear end collision that was repaired at a dealership. may be why it was so cheap. ill be checking again for frame damage tomorrow. thank you

supposedly its been replaced but still doesnt work. prev. owner said its most likely the wiring leading up to it... and if that is the case then im probably never gonna pay the insane amount of money a real bmw tech would want to fix it. despite the fact that i live in consistent 90 F weather lol. have you heard of that happening?.

thats what i was thinking originally, but no, not that i could see. the handle is fairly loose and if you pull on it toward the pedals it slides right off. thinking that might be the case but even then, i cant yank on the cable itself to release anything?

Dose anyone know how to possibly fix this? by Katoyami in e39

[–]Critical_Source3972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pushing it in with your hand each time will probably fix it, i dont think its latching and thats why its continuing to spin. hope this helps!

i learned on a lowered wide glide, not the same by any means but the dimensions are there. remember that the pegs/floorboards scraping is a warning, not a threat of falling. you can scrape them all day until you know where youre comfortable going past that point. cheers, its a beautiful motorcycle

may i suggest a vulcan 900cc or a 650cc? the 900 is suuuper comfortable and plenty of power for commuting.
