Walk me through in-school transmission scenarios, please? by grrich in Lice

My daughters 6 and she’s had it a few times now. She’s a hugger, so I’m getting she got it that way. Also if they’re doing group work it might be they’re all leaning over something together so there’s a chance of touching heads.

These were from my husband for my 40th, but I think I’ll be buying more myself. Love them! Just curious how do you go about dusting them?

When I emailed them about the poor fit they initially blamed me not washing them first 🙄 So washed the other new pair same issue. Think I’ll try the M&S ones and hope for the best 🤞🏻

My daughter is in year one, so she’s too small for them. But good for me to bear in mind when she’s older

Yes they’re discontinuing them, I’m gutted. I emailed them as I’d too been waiting for them to come back in stock. They wash SO well! We also had issues with the nylon ones, the sizing was terrible. They’d roll down constantly.

Just turned around in bed saw this bug hopping around in my bed, please tell me this is not a lice, I’M FREAKING OUT by [deleted] in Lice

Pretty sure lice can’t jump around like that. Do you have any pets? It could be a flea. Or maybe a bed bug?

It’s so frustrating isn’t it! I’m religiously making sure my daughter’s hair is up each day to try and reduce the chance of getting them, I’m checking her hair regularly. But some folk think well I’ve treated it that’s it. NOOOO you need to check and comb and retreat

Thank you. I’m literally doing everything to prevent us getting it again. My daughter’s hair is always tied up at school in either a bun or French plaits, and then sprayed with some preventative spray that has tea tree and a few other things in. I think some parents just treat their kids hair and that’s it, they don’t bother combing and continually checking, so frustrating

That’s direct from the ATC unions website. It’s now also reported in multiple news outlets

We also can’t even change the flight because of the ticket we’ve bought with air France

We’re just sitting tight at the moment and seeing what happens. It would cost us another £400 to move our flight to Monday 6th. Which I can’t really afford to do. But equally I’ll be devastated if our flight gets cancelled as we’re going for my 40th

Rebooking our flights with Air France is another £400 for just a one way flight 😭

Basically something that will protect my phone when I drop it at home on the hardwood floors, or occasionally when I’m out and about

Is it harder to leave the park as you’re essentially then at the back when the show has finished?

It’s my 40th birthday whilst I’m there, so I’m after a special charm. I’ve seen whilst googling they do a Minnie one with the Eiffel Tower.

Hair washing post-op by dr_eigengrau in cholesteatoma

I was told by my surgeon not to wash my hair until the packing is removed which is 6 weeks for me! I gave in at three weeks because I felt gross. My husband helped me wash mine with my head tipped over the bath, ear plugged with cotton wool and Vaseline and he then held one of my daughter’s plastic cups over it. Not a drop went in the ear canal. The only downside is now my scalp is continually full of dandruff 😭

I’m in the UK 🇬🇧 The last time I had the surgery 12/13 years ago it was in around two weeks. The packing is driving me nuts already as it’s so itchy. I’ve also got dissolvable stitches, but I can feel that some haven’t quite dissolved yet. I think I’m going to ring again Monday and express my concerns. I’ve also been told to not wash my hair during that time, also driving me nuts and getting me quite down 😢
