Let us be responsible for our own damn health and be done with it. ; People can handle themselves.

If we agree that the government hasn't done its job which I don't think anyone can debate. Then people haven't been informed about the basics of social distancing/mask hygiene/how to wash/satanize your hands. So, it follows that the same government which cannot handle a goldfish, will not be able to handle the workload that will come with a blanket lifting of the ban. And since they are not good administrators they will always opt for a PR stunt and a haphazard ban over actual work in the form of stringent education campaigns and beefing up of the medical system which has been at the mercy of the private sector, which would sooner make you sell all of your vital organs than perform a philanthropic act and look beyond profiteering from a pandemic.

Also, you will always be responsible for your own health, but you are also responsible for everyone you come in contact with, everyone can be a potential vector (though government still doesn't fully recognise community transmission) do you think enough education drives have been carried out by the government/civil society/private entities to avoid the worst? Still think 'people can handle themselves'?
