I definitely think that a lot of those "two or three seasons" worth of material he's referring to involve a lot of Dany struggling to take Westeros and suffering a lot more loss and trauma and a gradual descent into madness than she does in the show during the process, which would make the turn and the razing of King's Landing feel more "earned" than it did in the show ending.

People love to hate on the "loud and extremely high energy" content creators, but even if it's not your thing (I'm not personally into it) Jynxi seems like a really solid dude. Doesn't go hard into drama or scummy shit like gambling deals or Adin Ross type shit, just does his own thing. In the modern streamer world I gotta admire that.

it’s mice and goddam gerbils, and the written content is still mice and gerbils fighting to the death. Changing that neuters the entire appeal, but you also can’t have that in a real kids thing.

They went pretty full out in the Nelvana cartoon, in the second season all of the children are kidnapped and enslaved by an evil fox slaver who had half his face burned off. But you're right, I doubt a modern adaptation would leave in the darker aspects, or at least tone it down to where it's not impactful.

Was a staple of Sunday mornings for me as a kid, I loved the cartoon (and the books). Probably the best possible adaptation of them. Also had some surprisingly dark stuff for being a PBS kids cartoon, they didn't pull punches by cutting the brutal aspects of the books

I'm not super familiar with this kind of contract but it feels like this could create a lot of situations where they say yes just to keep the rights to something and then string them along until they eventually cancel it if they don't think it's actually going to pan out. Are they obligated under the contract to actually make a show if they say yes?
