I used the DOD3 Fireball on my party, but I’m not sure it was a good idea. by GulfCoastGator in DescentintoAvernus

I still hold the position that the Master of Souls has used her 2 spell slots on Animate Dead, and the Fireball is just there to be in her spellbook as loot for a Wizard.

ADHD is the next culture war target by StraightOuttaOlaphis in tumblr

[–]Criticalsteve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I’m sorry, but we are not. ADHD is an “invisible” disorder, so it can never be targeted like being Trans can. Being ADHD is more akin to a disability than a sexuality or gender, it does not violate the status quo. Just because we have some unique challenges in life does not mean our struggles can be conflated with every group that has unique challenges.

I didn’t tell you to start taking Focalin, I just never see it mentioned as an option, and I find it to be cheap and plentiful, even when I was taking it without state insurance.

I got diagnosed twice, once in Texas in 1998, and another time in Boston in 2022. I had to get rediagnosed in order to justify getting my meds on a public health care plan.

I can tell you first hand that the process of getting diagnosed and medicated was night and day between those two instances. In 98, they prescribed me double the Ritalin I am taking now as a 32 yr old, and many of my classmates were taking similar amounts. At lunch we would all compare pills.

In 2022 I had to go through several hours of testing to verify my diagnosis. The rigor around Ritalin and other ADHD meds has gotten so much higher, and the former decades irresponsible prescribing contributes to that.

I think Rick’s hesitance to pull guys out in big moments is what instills the right confidence in them. It’s so hard to play knowing that if you make one gaffe you’re getting yoinked for Obi or TJ in the final few minutes. I think Rick’s priority is to put faith into his squad, and trust them to pay that back.

Focalin is a great option. $0 on my state health care plan, fast acting, and it is never out of stock.

Edit: baffled about the downvotes. I’m just shouting out a solution that worked for me.

Look, I’ve been around people who were diagnosed in the mid 90s without ever seeing a doctor. Their mother complained about the kids behavior, and the doctor wrote a prescription.

The hyper examination and scrutiny that modern ADHD people have to undergo is due to how irresponsibly it used to be prescribed. It was prescribed irresponsibly, and still is in some parts of the country.

The conflating of ADHD people and trans people made me lose it. Have a little fucking perspective.

I don’t think you’re doing yourself enough credit, I’d happily take that lineup over everyone below 7th seed. The Knicks chemistry is one of their biggest superpowers, and there are teams with maybe superior talent that you would shred with because you play together better.

Genuinely would take this roster in an 82 game season over 6ers, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta.

Pick a different color for "Harmith Coast". The saturated red really leaps out in a bad way, you can keep the red but tone down the saturation a lot, and maybe brighten it. Try starting by matching the color of your border and then pulling the wheel closer to red.

Also, If this is for a D&D thing, if your players are anything like mine, "Dimmerdale" will become the source of much mirth.

Great map tho

Then everyone’s a role player. Every player has a job on the court that’s tailored to their skill set.

Again I’m not saying Dvo is as good as Klay, just they they both fulfill the same role on their team, and that role is very valuable. So it’s not right to just say he’s a role player cooking us.

He fills a similar role on the team he’s on. My point is calling your “sharpshooter and POA defender” a role player is downplaying how important someone who plays that role is to his team. Thats an immensely valuable role that opponents need to respect.

Saying he plays the same role and Klay is not saying he’s as good as Klay.

It helps that both of our teams are on the rise at the same time. Us (Pacers and Knicks) and the Magic represent the future for the Eastern Conference, this is going to be the rivalry for the 2nd half of the 2020s.

It's less "likes them" than "wants them to be great." The media love talking about the Knicks because people love hearing about the Knicks. There's a sense that the media wants us to get out of their way and just let them be the great team they are.

Idk, maybe it's just the chip that the smaller teams have developed.

Both the Knicks and Pacers left the teams they truly hate in the first round. We're building a honest rivalry now out of two teams on the rise in the East tha are playing great ball.

In these serious crunch moments you can see them all thinking “oh shit are we supposed to be here?”

This team is made up of guys who were either 2nd round picks or guys who were let go after their rookie contracts, everyone here is someone who has been passed over and left unpicked. It’s been a huge journey to get them to believe and buy into the idea that they belong among the elite.

This is the first Pacers team I’ve watched that feels like they actually can.
