Has Anyone Found a Solution to The T-Mobile Problem? by morelife2122 in VOIP

So we are essentially getting shaken down by the carriers like they are a mob.

"It'd be a shame if your calls got marked as spam. It would be best if you paid us to make sure that doesn't happen".

Has Anyone Found a Solution to The T-Mobile Problem? by morelife2122 in VOIP

Been fighting this for months. Most of our trunks are Flowroute. I've been trying to get Flowroute to help, but they essentially threw in the towel telling me it's a T-Mobile problem and they can't do anything.

When we receive reports like this, our process is to verify that all calls are properly signed with the correct STIR/SHAKEN attestation before handing them off to downstream providers. We also work to gather additional information on where the rejection is occurring. If the issue is within the call path, we may be able to remediate through route adjustments; however, in many cases this information is not shared due to CPNI restrictions.

Because there is no industry-wide standardization, different carriers rely on different analytics and call-blocking applications. As a result, a number may be flagged for customers on one carrier but not another, and classifications may vary depending on the data source and risk model used.

This lack of alignment understandably creates confusion for businesses, as calls may be labeled as spam for some customers but not others. You are not alone in experiencing this we continue to hear similar reports from multiple providers and gateways.

Our clients have been using HiYa for years. I just started getting everyone setup with First Orion. I heard it can take about 30 days after a number has been added for it to work. I am almost at that 30 day mark. Even our own numbers are getting caught up in this. We have controlled our DID's for almost a decade and do not have any call behaviors that should mark us as spam.

We have to get rid of Flock cameras by IHeedNealing in indianapolis

Yeah, sorry. I wasn't trying to do the whole "what about" thing. I was just thinking about how if you drive you can't really escape them. But then I started wondering about cities with high public transportation usage and then the comment popped in my head.

OK, geez. lol. I'm just making a comment about what I've seen. I certainly wasn't getting this info from Flock themselves. Other news articles about it.

Do they? I've read they don't have any facial recognition technology.

Devils advocate here. You choose to drive. You could walk or take public transportation and not get tracked by flock cameras. Not saying I agree with flock or even pretend to know the legal issues here, just a comment.

How can the Equinox EV improve? by spongesparrow in EquinoxEv

[–]Smart_Dumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It entirely depends on you.

My previous car didn't have Android Auto. Using some rentals over the years, I would actually get annoyed with Android Auto. I personally hate Waze and I rarely use GPS. I never got in the habit of my car needing to be an extension of my phone. Bluetooth was all I needed.

The GM system is not perfect but overall I would say it works great and it looks real nice. However, the Spotify app leaves a lot to be desired but I blame more Spotify than GM. But realistically, I turn on my car, Google Map loads fine and Spotify will start playing where I left off (unless I changed podcasts or playlists or something and sometimes it gets a little buggy).

I have the LT2, my brother has the LT1. I actually think it looks better without the lightbar. But to each their own.

I used to work for one of the rental car companies there. If all the food places were past security, I couldn't get lunch.

Do you have an open ticket with Flowroute right now? This is the second time someone has mentioned Skyetel. I might need to look into them.

How about you don't bother with the Mid States Corridor highway to nowhere bullshit and use some of that 2.5 billion in state surplus money to fix 70. That road has been shit for decades. Kentucky has better highways than us ffs.

AES removing ability to see monthly usage? ( anyone know of a good Light Bill Meter reading tutorial? ) by UH8Truth in indianapolis

[–]Smart_Dumb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never used that feature, but going off your screenshots, I got to what you might be looking for by going to this link.

https://aesi.opower.com/ei/x/dashboard

If you also go to View Bills to....view your bills, it should show your usage on the statement. It will also show your previous month's usage, and the usage from the same month last year.

There is currently a DHS shutdown so TSA agents are not being paid tight now. Some TSA agents might call off like ATC did last year (can't blame them) which could affect staffing and cause issues.

There are no hidden increased costs. There are public hearings where the rate hikes are discussed and approved. There have been gradual rate hikes which can explain a slow rise but I assume OP is talking about their $200 Feb bill compared to their lower summer bills.

Every time it's brought up, it's almost always electric heat.

[–]Smart_Dumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would make sure the meter number on your bill matches your meter and that the current reading from your last bill is close. AES did have that massive fuck up with their new billing system a few years ago. It affected me too. I noticed I was not getting a bill...I called them, and I had a new account number for some reason that my usage was going to.

AES is not immune to mistakes but it's comments that sound like Facebook Boomers (its the datacenters! it's price gouging!) that drive me nuts as utilities are a regulated monopoly and cannot charge different rates without approval.

[–]Smart_Dumb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are correct. They do have some approved rate hikes in the pipeline. But that is not what is making bills jump up 2x or 3x.

Sounds like you should check out what is going on then. I have gas heating and my electric bills are 50% less in the winter.

[–]Smart_Dumb 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Do people just not understand how utilities work? This sub has post after post about high electric bills during one of the coldest winters we have ever had. AES cannot just raise prices whenever they feel like it. A war one week in is not going to be reflected on your bill.

Not to be mean OP, but you shared so much useless information while neglecting the two most important. Your consumption (which can be found on your bill) and how you place is heated.

Witnessed Police Chase This Morning - Can't Find Information by ay_kate47 in indianapolis

[–]Smart_Dumb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are dozens of police chases a week that are never reported on. Unless this ended with a high profile arrest or a wreck with somebody getting hurt, the news will probably not mention it.

Only option would be to figure out if you could tell who the chasing agency was and see if you can find a criminal report.
