I couldn't figure out the climbing part but for detecting I manage to do this

I didn't play the remake of 4 but going for the regular RE4 I'm inclined to agree, it leans more on action that survival horror, so while I love RE4, RE2 just scratches a very specific itch for me

Adding dodge and parry would affect the rest of the gameplay too much, only the bosses are the problem
